It's already better than how Korra handled it. Also funny how this show loves showing April butt shots.

Anyways not sure about this version of Casey, too early to tell if he'll be annoying or not.

?! This episode started off kinda eh for me, but that second half was INSANE.

Also note the 8-bit "Mario kicking a Koopa Troopa shell" noise during Mikey's dance at the end. XD
 
Oh man, I didn't realize this was back already. I guess I have some TV to watch later. How is season 2? Have they kept the quality up?
 
Yet another very good episode. Was totally not expecting
Dogpound to become Rahzar. Much better looking design than Dogpound's
. I guess this probably means that
Fishface might eventually become Tokka
?

A dog to wolf mutation makes more sense than a fish to turtle mutation, though. Still, it might be possible. Never thought that they'd double dip Bradford, I was expecting them to mutate Stockman this episode.
 
I love this show so much. I can't help but get the vibe that it's aimed at people who grew up with the 80's show more then any other audience, so many references to old episodes and themes.

The second season using missing mutagen canisters as a drive for the overall plot isn't something I expect will keep going the entire time, I'm thinking a mid season climax of some kind will wrap some of that up.

This show was apparently greenlit for season 2 and 3 after only 8 episodes of season 1 had aired so they'll have to keep things going for quite awhile :D

The Shellshocked Podcast is a newish pod dedicated to TMNT. They recently scored an interview with Ciro Nieli (the mastermind behind the Nick TMNT reboot), it's a pretty long pod with some great questions and answers. Some adult language (def for older fans). Really recommend listening to it.

is awesome, love his design and animations. Also is that some Baxter foreshadowing?

Plus I think Casey in action mode will be pretty cool, not worried about him so far. Don't like the huge tooth spaces though, seems a bit out of place to me.

Ha! Picked up Rat King, Snakeweed, April and a Foot Soldier on a trip to Whitefish. Now I just need Baxter, Leather Head and the hard to find Cockroach Terminator.

Season Two so far as been a lot of fun, my only issue is my PVR seems to be titling the episodes off some 1990 airing of the original cartoon so, ya, that's dumb.

Impressive how much they have done with so much restrictions !
Loved the "you owned a room full of TMNT geeks" part xD
 
Awesome episode.

Kinda shocked that the bad guy was a revamped
Chromedome
. Honestly thought that it was a nod to
Cyber Shredder.

The ending also surprised me. Definitely wasn't expecting that... Good for you,

Totally skipped out on episode 5, couldn't deal with the acne.

Great stuff on 6 though.

Makes me glad again they switched to robot foot clan. Them being able to slice apart humanoid dudes makes me a lot happier than the outlandish stuff in S1.

Mikey went ham during these fights, a lot more function out of his weapon than usual.
Krang robot was a little anti-climactic. I'm guessing they'll go more into
the double crossing, but once they defeated it they dropped the conflict of the episode super fast.

Nice wrap up at the end

Random thoughts:
-Mikey's Shellacne was gross
-Rhazar is stupid, Dogpound is better
-If I were Stockman, I'd have left the city months ago. Sticking around just seems stupid :P Then again the character was never exactly smart
-Casey needs to go see a dentist yesterday
-I'm pretty sure this April is the best incarnation of the character ever. Or pretty close to it.
