I really don't see how these two will be an improvement from Fish Face & Dog Pound, given their history of being a pair of incompetent idiots in the 1980's cartoon.

Unless if their inclusion in the new cartoon is different, I don't see how this Shredder will benefit from having a pair of mutated nincompoops. Unless if they're going to be used as expendable cannon fodder, then by all means.
Some are speculating Fish Face becomes Bebop, similar to Dogpound -> Rhazar. I dunno, Dogpound and Rhazar are both canine of some sort, Fish to Warthog, though? Meh, I hope they're just new thugs.
Mazes and Mutants is yet another good one with some laughs, great references to Dungeons and Dungeons, Dragon's Lair, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and a nice backstory on a certain mutant. Pointless but fun episode.

Their IDW comic debut made them out to be somewhat competent and badass. But they also caused trouble for Karai too with their "dont' give a shit" attitude. A nice balance could be struck. I wonder which way the pendulum will swing.
Also Bebop is way too stringy, which is probably why some people think this might be another mutation for Xever/Fishface. But I'm not seeing it. Personally I think there's already far too many mutants running around as is...
Boy is he ugly. And it sounds like Bebop and Rockesteady are closer then I thought! Some designs aside I freaking love this show. Love how they are giving nods to the 80's fan.
OMG...they finally did it, they finally made a not only good but great episode featuring Baxter Stockman. I loved it, it's one of the best episodes of the season and up there within the best of the show itself. Baxter
turning into a fly which was gross but awesome
was needed as it made him more sinister and tough against his enemies in a way we never seen him before. The humor was great, very good action, pacing and it never lets down for a moment while advancing the series as well for what would happen next. This episode further proves why Donatello is the best turtle as well.
I am very pleased with this episode because I hated Baxter Stockman in previous episodes, but I'm glad they took this route with him. I'm giving it a 9 and I rarely give 9s to this show, excellent episode.
Chalk me up as another who really enjoyed this episode. I knew that being the horror buffs the creators of this show are that they could not resist the numerous references to
The Fly with the candy bar eating and some of the lines
Nitpicky, but it was a little odd to me how his voice had to sound like buzzing when it's the wings that acually create that sound in nature. But I get it and it was pretty effective and cool which is why they went with it. The twitching, vibrating and head rotating were very creepy.
A) I'll go against the grain and say I think it would have been nice to have no Bebop and Rocksteady in this show - its nice to give other mutants time in the spotlight. I feel FishFace/Xever has been really under-utilized
B) If it took only one drop to
cure Kirby
, then Donatello had WAY more than two doses. Those canisters were each probably worth hundreds of doses. Transporting them like that, and their subsequent loss, seems all like a contrived scenario to not have retro-mutagen for a long while within the context of the show. Not sure if I'd say its outright bad writing but its certainly........odd..........
At the very least, I'm glad that the end game for all the mutant characters isn't permanent membership of the mutant class.
On a side note, Shredder's last statement to Stockman seems ominious......

I remain skeptical. On one hand, as has been mentioned,
its always been weird that there aren't any female mutants
in any TMNT timeline I'm aware of. On the other hand
They could throw this character in, it would fit because she's already supposed to be Japanese. I'm old enough to have read the issues of archies comics where Ninjara first appeared too.
Pretty much what I was expecting after the last episode. Shredder said he wanted him to make a mutant, singular. The only non-mutants we know of are Shredder and Karai, and no way will he turn himself into one. He probably think she'll be more useful this way.

Hate to say it, but a betrayal like that might be the only way to wake Karai up to the reality of her situation. Retro-Mutagen is a thing now, though... so here's hoping there's a quick (but not too quick) turnaround on her condition.

There's three of them so I don't think they'll be turned to BB and RS, though the leader could be the new Bebop and any one of the other can take the role of Rocksteady.
