If you're talking about the shot where he "arrives" (rises), it looks lifted from the 1984 original... not re-created in CG. Re-used footage. They just changed the BG behind him a bit...

Pretty sure that's CG. Trying to use the old footage while changing the lighting and background to match would be more work than just CGing the whole thing.

So from a 2 second clip of her firing a pistol, a flinch and her, height? weight?, you've come to the conclusion that she can't portray someone who can take care of herself? Strange, but ok, opinions.

Not sure about the second but but this first bit seems right to me. We don't quite know where "old-t800" came from yet. Unless I'm also missing something?

Old T-800 was probably still active after T3 and was sent back in time again. Possibly. I have no idea. Is T3 part of the official canon?

hahahahaha

still totes better than Jurassic World's trailer.

Plus seeing storm shadow as T-1000 is awesome, it's good to see T-1000 again.

Too bad they showed the "I'll be back" line already. Should've kept that under wraps and see the theater explode.
Modern trailers tend to show too much of the film in the mistaken belief that it'll make it more appealing to potential viewers.

Why is old Ahnold walking in from the same place young Ahnold did in the first movie?
That's what I'm trying to figure out. Old Arnold has apparently been waiting for the Young Arnold for a while, which is why it's flesh has aged. Old Arnold destroys young Arnold resulting in an altered timeline. Where Old Arnold came from, no one knows yet.

Pretty sure that's CG and the lighting is awful. I mean I'm no expert but it seems obvious. Looks like a bad photoshop cut and paste.

You know, watching the trailer again I have to say this would've been a great premise for T3 had Cameron still been able to make it back in the 90s. So it's kind of bitter sweet to see some cool ideas executed so poorly with some truly horrible acting and special effects.

I don't know if its fair to judge someone's performance from a trailer but Emilia Clarke was really making me cringe. She's not really conveying the assertiveness I think the role requires. And poor Arnie, he just looks tired.

Everyone keeps complaining about the girl but she actually looks like Linda from original film. I feel like some people in this thread have never even watched the first terminator film.

I'm not so sure people are complaining about her looks so much as her inability to act.

It's her horrible delivery of every line in the trailer. Not how she looks, though she does look less athletic and hardened than Hamilton from T2.

im going to watch Avatar 2 multiple times now. at least Cameron knew where to leave well enough alone.

Also, Kyle Reese looks way too beefy in this. I always imagined (from scenes of the future war) that everyone was starving and emaciated.

So awful. I don't know the female lead's name but she doesn't appear to be able to act.

Cringeworthy with the Ill Be Back at the end too, like a desperate attempt at saving the rest of the trailer.

Asian T-1000 huh? Neat.

I'm actually a little intrigued about how they handle the timeline changing/reboot/remake effect.

I'm still expecting the movie to overall be a turd, though. Don't want to get my expectations high. Or up. At all.
