I love you GAF.
Also why are we ignoring Mongul in this?
Has Thanos ever been humiliated like this?

or this?

Then Thanos wins.
Avengers Assemble will but it's Avengers Assemble. To be fair, no Marvel series lasts long enough to do a Thanos arc!

Darkseid at his height was killed by a bullet.
It's a god killing bullet though, isn't it?
Eternal body control. Greatnesseven before that, Darkseid was killed by the Atom waaaaaay back during the JLA "rock of ages" storyline.
Batman and the Atom realized that even though Darkseid had an "impenetrable" force shield around him, that since darkseid could see (and they could see him) light could get through, so the atom shrank down to the size of a photon, piggybacked a ride on light waves directly through his corneas and into his brain and lobotomized him by blasting his grey matter to shreds.
It killed the Atom of course (darkseid's body was simply too hostile an environment) but no WAY would that have worked on Thanos.
Eternal body control. Greatness
With the Infinity Gauntlet? This is the most one-sided poll GAF has ever seen. Darkseid gets curbstomped.
Yep. Thanos would literally wade through things that would tear darkseid to shreds right now. It's like someone gave him "total invulnerability to everything" as a power.
Still a cool way to kill someone. I also dug Darkseid's pure black look in that serieseven before that, Darkseid was killed by the Atom waaaaaay back during the JLA "rock of ages" storyline.

Kalibak I believe. The character who literally exists to be a complete jobberThanos could have ruled a shithole of a planet but instead he focused on improving himself. He could have fuckwads like Granny Goodness and Beast Man( his name escapes me) running around but instead he does shit himself.

Mumei refused to post in this thread, because he has "class" and "self-respect" or whatever, but I got an answer out of him through IRC anyway:
[08:20:59 pm] <Mumei1> if we are talking pre-crisis, darkseid seems more impressive
[08:21:16 pm] <zeliard> wait, you actually know about this stuff?
[08:21:35 pm] <Mumei1> since he can be scaled relative to PC supes, who was towing galaxies and getting punched with the force of hundreds of galaxies and traveling across the universe in seconds and other assorted bullshit
[08:21:49 pm] <Mumei1> and I don't think Thanos really compares to that
[08:21:51 pm] <zeliard> get in my thread, then, dammit
[08:22:03 pm] <zeliard> i did stipulate thanos w/ the infinity gauntlet
[08:22:08 pm] <Mumei1> no, i like reading other posters argue
[08:22:09 pm] <Mumei1> oh
[08:22:15 pm] <Mumei1> then I'd guess thanos

Thanos is not strong in the DC universe. Thanos just looks good because most of the Marvel heroes are jobbers.

I can't wait until we get Darkseid in a Justice League movie and people complain that he's a Thanos ripoff.

Destroying the DCU by existing in Final Crisis. This is after he has the anti-life equationI think that stipulation breaks things. Thanos snapped his fingers and killed/erased half of the life in the universe at the start of the Infinity Guantlet mini. What was Darkseid's feat to compare to that?
The same will happen whenever they get around to putting Namor in one of these movies.
Mumei does know his shit, but he's actually wrong here.
(I'm going to ignore the infinity gauntlet part, because that thing is hilariously broken and no version of darkseid is even on it's radar)
PC superman is very powerful, but Thanos fought an enraged Thor equipped with the power gem and beat him down like it was his job. THEN Thanos immediately wades into a fight with Odin and Odin is forced to whip out Gungnir and STILL can't put him down.
Both of those two would beat the holy bejeezus out of any version of superman, PC or no, and Current Thanos is stronger than that. I don't even see a way to even scratch him without plot devices.
Universal has the namor rights, I believe. They've never actually done anything with him but retain it anyway- it looks like whatever deal they have is different than the fox/sony ones.
I still dont understand how that worked out. Was namor the only deal remaining?
Odin is forced to whip out Gungnir and STILL can't put him down.
PC is wildly inconsistent, Superman can move the moon in one book, and in the same book get trapped by a chainlink fence.Mumei refused to post in this thread, because he has "class" and "self-respect" or whatever, but I got an answer out of him through IRC anyway:

APOCALYPSE!
Thor, stronger than Superman-Prime?
Nah.
LOL a fence?PC is wildly inconsistent, Superman can move the moon in one book, and in the same book get trapped by a chainlink fence.
Marvel struggle
Literal in this case. But its weird that namor is their only catch.
APOCALYPSE!
Had trouble defeating Dracula.
read what I wrote again. that was an insane thor in the grip of some kind of madness equipped with the power gem. The power gem is the red gem in the infinity gauntlet that gives "infinite power" to anyone carrying it around.
Some users are better with it than others, but even complete idiots who aren't even trying to use it still turn out to be god-tier.
Champion of the universe thought it was just decoration, but still subconciously/passively drew enough power from it to accidentally one shot a planet into dust.
