Loading in general is terrible. And, extra attention paid to what is happening on the loading screen probably just means there's going to be lots of loading, which is not a good sign.

Max Payne 3 is one massive loading screen. Even with a SSD harddrive you can't skip the cutscenes and they happen every 5 minutes. You can 'skip' cutscenes but they mask loading, hence why when you press escape it tells you can't skip yet until loading is done.

I've forget how much of an abomination loading is in games thanks to SSD's, but we really need to get on this for the next generation. 20 seconds is bad, 30 is atrocious, 40 and there is no excuse.

The only loading screen I remember that I enjoyed back in the day was CoD4:MW. As soon as it load you were able to skip it, and if you decided to watch it, it told you an overview of the mission and interesting info.
