Definitely. I like when loading screens give you something to do (even if it is as pointless as moving a cursor around in PSO or making Rayman jump in Origins), but Bayonetta is the only game where I spent additional time in the loading screen on purpose, before starting the loaded level.
Of all the atrocities in human history, this is the one that will be remembered for eons...

Psygnosis' Barbarian on Commodore 64 already let you play an space invaders clone while the game tape was loading, quite a few years before Ridge Racer's Galaga.
EDIT: I just found out that the thing was used in more games, it was called Invade-a-load, from Mastertronic.

Almost. They patented having playable stuff during loading - starting with Ridge Racer PSP.
And the industry is worse for it.
This is an abomination that lasts 20 seconds. How long must you wait to race?!
While it isn't really a loading screen, this is unbeatable.

Honestly, I'd have to give this one to Halo 3. The loading screen in Halo 3 is so cool that I actually don't mind seeing it.

OK, so it seems to be taking longer in that video that what I've normally encountered while playing, but it's still super nice. The way it smoothly transitions from menu to loading and the way the audio continues with a smooth fade out as it completes (no audio in the above video, unfortunately). It's just an expertly handled process that somehow adds to the polish of the experience.
Bungie has actually managed this throughout the Halo series, honestly, but Halo 3 is the best of the best.

I think that the loading screens in Mass Effect 2 acutally looks nice. Looks great on a big TV. If it wouldn't take so long to load, though...
It's better, though, If you could do something while loading. Assassins Creed 2 and Bayonetta allow you to do some moves while loading. The best thing is still having barely any load times.
