Everyone agrees that it will be Modern Warfare 2, right?
Agreed. MW 2 on top, that`s pretty much a given.

No, I don't. MW2 will launch alongside OSTD and I expect people buying one or the other in 360, at least the firsts months.Rez said:Everyone agrees that it will be Modern Warfare 2, right?

Biggest sellers will definitely be Halo ODST & MW2.
Oh and its kinda cute how Activision wants to let Modern Warfare 2 into a new franchise of its own. They're evidently trying to push it of the CoD title and spring a series on its own. :lol
stuburns said:MW2 will do insanely well, probably that.
Assassin's Creed 2 will also do great numbers this holiday.
Halo ODST I suspect won't even approach the kind of popularity the other three have, but still maybe 2.5/3 million units.
It does release a month before all those, at least they didn't repeat the mistake from last time.TheKurgan said:Agreed. Uncharted 2 deserves more attention. But as far as sales go it will probably get killed.
That's a deciding factor in deciding purchases? smhDimmuBurgerKing said:It's not surprising that the PS3 version of FFXIII is higher on the list than the 360 version, but I wonder if that'll hold true for multiplatform users. I fully intend to buy the game, but I haven't really made a decision on the platform because it's too early to know which version will be superior in terms of overall features/moneyhat shenanigans.

Worldwide the PS3 version is obviously going to sell more, it's exclusive in Japan where it'll sell a lot. In North America the 360 version will probably perform better. Personally even if I still had a 360 I'd be getting it on PS3 because of the chance of interactivity with the Sony exclusive other FFXIIIs.DimmuBurgerKing said:It's not surprising that the PS3 version of FFXIII is higher on the list than the 360 version, but I wonder if that'll hold true for multiplatform users. Kusagari said:It'll easily be Modern Warfare 2 combined. ODST MIGHT win for best single SKU over MW2 360.
Nope unless it has an incredible TV campaign!freakzilla3000 said:Actually, I just thought of this, anyone think that Scribblenauts has a chance?

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
2. New Super Mario Bros Wii
3. Halo 3: ODST

Battle Net play only, no Lan. There is a reason.Sleeker said:via bit torrent maybe![]()
Luckily the fact that Blizzard games are so focused on Battle.net means pirating isn't going to make much of a dent.Sleeker said:via bit torrent maybe![]()
I can believe this, I think The Beatles : Rock Band is not the sure fire hit people think. It's coming out the same day the remastered Beatles stuff is. So as a Beatles fan, I've got to buy the stereo boxset for ÂŁ160 and the mono boxset for ÂŁ200, I can't really stretch to the game, and I think that's true of a lot of Beatles fans, the music is the priority over the game.xPowerPadDeathStompx said:Rock Band: Beatles has parents saying "wow, neat!" and kids saying "lol wut, old people". More interest in Band Hero (I swear and its sickening). No interest at all in GH5.
Kuroyume said:How the hell is New Super Mario Bros. Wii so high on there.
I hate non-cel-shaded polygons in a 3D sidescroller too, but the game itself is pretty awesome. The level design is great, and the multiplayer rocks. It looks awful.
ODST will do really well, but I think people will see it as a spinoff, and probably not zerg rush it as much as they will Halo Reach. NSMB Wii is a new 2D Mario that you can play like the old Marios (turning the controller sideways and playing it like the NES), and it has the local multiplayer aspect that made games like Mario Kart Wii and Wii Sports huge. It won't sell the most during the holidays, but it'll probably have the best legs.I don't understand how anyone can say it will sell more than ODST.
In the States, I think so. Worldwide, they're pretty much even.Hasn't Halo 3 outsold Mario Galaxy?
xPowerPadDeathStompx said:PSP...lol :lol I'm sure Need for Speed Carbon and Liberty City Stories will continue to sell and sell and sell and whatever 40$ game comes out will not.

Wait, isnt that new GTA: Chinatown Wars coming out this fall for the PSP? No one is preordering that, or is it just not available?

El-Suave said:Maybe in the US, but in Europe I could see AC2 giving MW2 a run for its money although MW2 will win after all. AC2 should beat ODST though over here. Also, nobody should underestimate Fifa 10 worldwide.

Asmodai said:Starcraft is big, sure, especially in Korea. But look at the lifetime sales: Starcraft has been out for 11 years and sold about 11 million copies last I heard.
COD4 hasn't even been out 2 years and its sold over 14 million copies. Pretty easy to see which one is the bigger franchise, especially since COD is riding a recent popularity wave, while Starcraft's popularity might have waned over the years. (can't necessarily count on South Korea being as big a fan of the second as they were of the first?)
xPowerPadDeathStompx said:Lots of interest in NSMB Wii and Wii Sports Resort, but not a lot of reserves on them. It really depends on Nintendos ability/want to send full restocks on the games and not have a Wii Fit/Mario Kart situation.
