Great comparison. I still love Skyrim's vanilla look, even though I'm playing a very modded PC game now. Just looked fantastic.

Lords of Shadow 2 is not out yet right? I know you have posted 'it's the demo' (but that does not mean it's not released yet necessarily) The first LoS has some of the best environments i have ever seen in a game, on that merit alone i'm kinda intrigued to buy the second.

Yeah its only the demo so far. The only way to get the demo is to purchase Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD.

Damn, Beyond's models look like they're from another gen compared to HR's, and I remember being blown away by these loading close-ups!

Man, God of War Ascension is just so damn impressive. I can hardly believe how clean the image quality is for a console game. A huge step over most other games across both platforms.

Ok i try to mix it up by playing some Halo CE Anniversary, one of the best remakes alongside the Monkey Island SE's, Perfect Dark Live and Tomb Raider Anniversary. A shame they didn't get rid of the lag in online co-op.

I'll try to keep this down to comparison shots of the original game, displayed in HD (i know it's not exactly the same) and the remake, i'll throw in a couple of MICE shots now and then just for the sake of it like the one below the title screen.

They recreated the scenery pretty good, mostly, enhancing the graphics without drifting too far away from the original.

Light falling into a corridoor, this changes how a scene is perceived a little, but not too much. Some environmments do though, they are too much lit.
