Uhm..? That's not an insanely detailed model, sorry. It's not bad either, it's just nothing really outstanding.

thanks Jigsaw.
I have another request if you don't mind, can you take a shot from the intro video (the one with the credits) from the scene Lightning is holding the gun blade and looking at soldiers.
thanks in advance. the video is 1080p, can you take the shot in 1080p?

hm no,only game i think has better ingame models is heavy rain

thanks in advance. the video is 1080p, can you take the shot in 1080p?

sadly no,the card supports 1080p through hdmi, but i cant capture that because of this stupid hdcp which the ps3 outputs (and im not willing to pay 500$ for a device to bypass it)

the credits are in front of her face, looks stupid...havent reached that part yet in my playthrough

ITT: lack of variety

ITT: screenshots of the same games because only 3 games have in screenshot ability

ITT: only photos of cars and oily men

Well, drilled a hole in the back of my 200lb CRT:lol so, I could access the precision focus control knob. The image looks much better than before but, I haven't even spent much time adjusting it so hopefully I'll have even better pics later this week. This is a bad pic but, you get the idea.

This is Final Fantasy XII in 480p 4:3 mode for PS2.

unfortunately that scene isn't in the game, it's edited and Light's model doesn't look anything close to the scene featured in the intro video and early trailers, it's CG I don't know why they did this.
nvm: I found it, it's abit blurry though.

There was no part of FF13 that made me think "damn this looks great". Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 spoiled me on consoles.
I beg to differ, a lot of the set pieces had me going whoa and panning the camera around for a while. There was also so much variety in the environments that each one stood out a bit more. It might not be on the same level technically, but artistically, it's among the top no doubt.

Yea. I guess its different strokes for different folks in this case. GoW3, Heavy Rain, FFXIII are all top notch looking games

man, FFXIII really needed/needs the XMB screenshot option, it has amazing skyboxes and quite good (for stills) PQ. I often just stood there looking at the environment and had the urge to capture it in glorious 1920x1080 (frame-buffer/direct feed) screenshots (out of all PS3 games, why don't the most beautiful ones support it anyway, don't they want us to show off the tech/beauty for them?)

Especially in Cocoon I really like seeing the other continents up in the distant sky (for the non-ff13players: Cocoon is basically reversed, you have an artificial sun in the center of the globe and the continents/oceans around it on the inside of the shell)

My problem is that when I take a picture from a distance I can pretty much eliminate the strange lines I get from when taking pictures of my tv. However, I lose tons of detail and clarity so everyone thinks I have this TV that I smear butter on.

When I go up close like this I get these strange lines all over the image but, it shows off how nice and clean my set is. I have a CRT and I'm guessing that is what causes them to show up in the picture. Anyone got any tips for taking shots of a CRT? I've followed some instructions at some websites but none of them mention how to avoid the strange lines I get.

Actually the screenshots in this topic aren't all that bad considering. If you want to see more variety and better looking screens there's the PC screenshot topic.

some offscreen caps of Demon's Souls.

My camera is a bit slow and has difficulty capturing the colours offscreen, still fiddling with the settings so some have come out better than others. in the future i'd like to be able to capture a whole playthrough at intervals so to make a sequence showing the evolution of a character. bit too late for this char though.

So I got a capture card finally and thought I would made a Gamecube contribution to this thread. The card cost me around 1000$, but I think my first screen I took shows that it was worth it.

Also, I don't know if people have their TV's configured wrong or something, but Mario Galaxy looks pretty great.

I bought a Hauppauge HD PVR today and was keen to do some testing, so i booted up the 'big 3' on the PS3.

Killzone 2 - all during gameplay

Uncharted 2 - all during gameplay apart from the last thumbnail, which was from the end of an in-engine cutscene

and here's a bonus panorama Uncharted 2 shot.

There were some other areas i wanted to get to in each game but i didn't have much time. I might have another crack at them later.

er thats from an emulator right? unless you have a magic gamecube/wii that can render at that resolution?
