• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

The Crew Beta codes has been sent, post here your impressions

If anybody has a spare code for PS4 or Xbox, would be really appreciated. I'll post mine here if I finally get them today.

Thanks

The servers are up but can't play before tonight :(

I won a XB1 key with the Thrustmasters contest

BTW a suggestion for the OT :
The Crew |OT| Crewsing in The U.S.A.

Has anybody a spare EU code?
Would be much appreciated.

Edit:
Scratch that. I got one in my mail!

And I have no idea why, lol!

Just played it for the first time, I really didn't like it. The handling feels awful, it looks like a PS3 game and it feels like a typical Ubisoft open world side-mission fest.

Downloading now but cant see a file size on XB1. Anyone know how large it is? Think the earlier one was about 15GB.

Ugly shimmering mess on XB1.

After playing lots of Horizon 2 this just hurts my eyes it's so ugly.

It's a shimmering mess on PS4 aswell, the image quality in this game is awful

Given how close we are to a release, I assume the final version will be much the same?

Ubisoft have released some hefty day 1 patches before, so it might improve. I doubt it though. The graphics are not the biggest problem with the game though.

Forza Horizon 2 is my favourite game of this generation so far and I think Driveclub is pretty good in certain aspects too but this game easily beats both when it comes to the fun factor.

Honestly I don't think the handling and graphics are anywhere near as bad as some make them out to be, in fact at times the game looks absolutely beautiful such as the sunset and sand dunes. With the handling I admit it isn't great but if you take the time to get used to it and tune it to your liking in the settings you might actually find it's not as bad as you think.

At the end of the day if you're going into this beta expecting a racing game that rivals FH2, DC and whatever else you're going to be disappointed. Go in expecting a fun driving game and you might actually have some fun. The diversity and size of the map is amazing and the game really shines in its events which aren't races such as off-road raids which are amazing.

My biggest problems with the game is the fact you need to be online at all times to play the game which is pretty stupid considering you can play through the whole story by yourself. Car selection too doesn't seem great, but the awesome customisation perhaps makes up for that.

Either way it's some of the most fun I've had on a game in the past year and it's from a beta alone which pretty much sums up my reason to get the game at launch.

Good to hear, being a non-XBO gamer FH2 is something that interests me but I'm wondering if this (along with DC and GTA V) can keep me happy enough until more price drops :)

Apologies for begging in advance, but I would love a key if anyone has a spare! This has been on my radar for a while.

Edit: Wait, is this just for consoles? Only have my PC at the moment.

The game barely looks like a PS4 game.

Cars control like fucking boats on a slippery surface, it is genuinely terrible - no matter which mode I try to select.

Such a shame because I find the concept enticing and in typical Ubisoft fashion it does look like there is a shitload to do.

My buddy is desperately looking for a code for Xbox One US. I recently was given one by a fellow GAFER! He has signed up multiple times to no avail. Hes been a huge Crew fan and would love to try it out. He got screwed out of the Pre-Order "Guaranteed" code last beta on consoles and didn't get a code due to Ubisoft being douches. Any help would be appreciated.
