Love JGL but would rather have Robin Williams in any role.

Though JGL as Damien would be BALLER. Then Nolan trolls everyone at the end with a pic of him as Robin.
 
Yeah I trust JGL with the Joker about as much as I'd trust Michael Jackson with my kids.

If they're going to recast Joker they should go with Michael Shannon hell he was practically playing him in Revolutionary Road.

Rao's too awesome for that to happen. I picture it more like this:

Dileep Rao: "Hey Chris, what's the word on me being in TDKR?"
Nolan: "Man, I have the perfect role for you, I promise. I just have to figure out a way to get this Bale guy to quit."

According to our 'ol friend "A.P.," an office for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has been set up in New York City and is "up and runnning." A.P. told BOF back on December 16th of laster year (scroll down) that one of the TDKR shooting locales might be "...something in New York." Apparently, that is the case. So heads up NYC BOF'ers, they may be needing extras!
In a related note, Chris Nolan is confirming that the start of shooting begins in May 2011.

Again, BOF was told by A.P. back on October 6th of last year (again, scroll down below) that May of 2011 was when TDKR filming was to commence.

I think I may fly up to NYC whenever the NYC shoot takes place and check some of that out in person!

Any truth to them also shooting in Detroit?

I heard that they wanna pull back from Chicago because that's what Nolan wants to make the new Metropolis once he starts getting Snyder going on Superman.

Also, for good measure, Caine should be Armie Hammer'd to play Alfred and Alfreds secret twin butler brother, Frederick
 
If they are shooting in New York that will be boss might try to take some pics.

They better do a viral campaign again like for The Dark Knight.

I posted it above, but I heard it's cuz they wanna use Chicago as Metropolis for Superman and they feel like having the films close together using the same city, while still telling people they're different cities, might not work.

Wha? I thought it said that Chicago was going to be Metropolis in the new Superman movie. Wouldn't make much sense in the slightest to have TDKR move away from Gotham.

To keep the Joker a secret character in the movie until people saw it would actually be more confusing than exciting, I imagine.
 
What in the hell is going on in this thread? Also why the hell are Nolan movies starting to remind me of Adam Sandler movies... just kidding(not really). Nolan might as well announce that all of his future endeavors will feature the inception cast in every starring role; until Michael Caine dies and then the whole thing will be over.

A lot of directors use the same cast. Since most of the time they are friends also they get used to working with them. Becomes easier for them.

Yea, I know this. They become friends, know what their bros can and can't do, etc. But using a very similar cast in back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back(exaggeration) movies is a tad ridiculous. Especially considering how high profile all his movies are. I'm not really complaining but I do enjoy variety. Unfortunately though, the Prestige, Inception, Batman, etc are some of my favorite movies ever. I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I want him to be full-on Robin. In fact, i don't want him to ever show up as anyone except Robin. He should be in this costume the entire movie:
