There is something strange but amazing in that quote but I can't put my finger on it...
I'm surprised Eckhart thought he was going to be in it.

I imagine that either Nolan gave him a blank stare or snickered and waved him off.

I love these. What does this even mean? Who cares. Shit is awesome. :lol

According to a "Tweet" via the HERO COMPLEX BLOG, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will not, and never planned to, film in New Orleans, Louisiana. This backs cinematographer Wally Pfister's comment from November 11th where he said he didn't think TDKR would film in The Big Easy. Remember what BOF's 'ol friend "A.P." told us back on October 6th...

“They [Nolan, etc.] are still writing [and] putting the final touches on the script. No filming location set as of yet. Starting to fill [behind the scenes] positions. Scheduled to being shooting next May (2011).”

Since A.P. was proven correct about the May 2011 filming start, I'm thinking he might be right about TDKR doing a BIG chunk of filming in the U.K., as he told me back in July.

5 months of filming in Wayne Manor and the Batcave, do it!

AICN and Slashfilm are now among the half-dozen other outlets reporting that "Prey" is the story being used as the basis for DKR's script.

What pisses me off about that AICN story is that Harry says he has a source, but then says we won't know if it's a good source until more official information comes out.

....what? Why would you run it then? :lol Internet.

That means Catwoman might be in the movie...

She better be fucking hot. Like Kelly Brook out. Imagine the suit...:D :D

Heard some rumors on THE DARK KNIGHT RISES that sound interesting...

Hey folks, Harry here with the latest bit of info I've gathered on THE DARK KNIGHT RISES...
How reliable is this? Well, we'll see, right. For now, take this as pure rumor, but don't be too surprised if I'm right.

I'll call my source on this, "Clayface" -

It seems that Chris & Jonathan Nolan and that David Goyer have been digging deep for the villain. In fact, Batman first went up against this guy in 1940 in the pages of Detective Comics. The word is, Tom Hardy is playing Dr. Hugo Strange, who has a bit of an obsession surrounding The Batman. Strange how common that seems to be in Gotham. In fact - it seems that Nolan and crew are exploiting that great PREY arc that was written by Doug Moench and illustrated by the great Paul Gulacy and Terry Austin - and ran from September of 1990 to February 1991.

I remember the storyline right after Clayface spilt the slightest details. This is actually, just about the most perfect storyline to start up, given where DARK KNIGHT left off. It involves a Taskforce out to get BATMAN headed by Gary Oldman's Gordon. I love the idea of Tom Hardy playing Hugo Strange, who plots to kill and takeover being The Batman, himself.

In the comics, the attack on Batman is multi-faceted and extremely psychological, as that is why Hugo has the Dr. in front of his name. It brings the Fear Gas back in a very effective manner. And well, seek out the issues if you want to ... oh, just read a great yarn.

I'm fairly positive that this team is putting their own particular spin on it - but how many of you want to see a crazy fucking Tom Hardy dressing up like Batman? I know I do.

I'm fairly jazzed about... this, um, rumor. Let's see what happens...

They'll pull out the forgotten Batman Triumphant script and force Nolan to make that.

Wiki article on Batman Triumphant said:
The Joker would return as a hallucination in Batman's mind caused by the Scarecrow's fear toxin. Harley Quinn appeared as a supporting character, written as the Joker's daughter trying to get revenge on Batman for the Joker's death

Holy shit, this is exactly what GAF wants. :lol

Harley Quinn shouldn't be a main villain. But she SHOULD however exist. TDK keeps going on about how the joker wants to change Gotham and help realize and embrace its chaotic and primal nature. It'd be ridiculous if everyone just simply ignores his existence once he gets locked up ( remember, he's not dead in the Nolan verse).

I agree.

She should be like those hockey pads wearing dudes in TDK. Just a cameo should be enough.

Harley makes no sense without the Joker in the picture. Even less without having been established in TDK. Enough about HQ, she's not going to be in TDK.

Why does GAF want HQ so bad?

I don't get it.
I think a serious version of her in one of the animated films they have been doing would be cool, or if the Nolan films took a much different direction.

She is a great character, but I haven't seen her done in various ways unlike most of the rouge gallery.

Besides, HQ's only motivator is Joker. Joker is in the slammer so HQ is pretty useless.

All of you are gonna be eating some crow when Nolan confirms my suspicion ( and wishes) of HQ being in TDKR.
Just like how I knew the rain in the inception trailer represented the urge of someone having to urinate.

His plan also failed in the Nolanverse.

I would much rather seen a Harley Quinn type character than some stupid cat burglar character/Catwoman.

I think she'd have to be changed quite a bit from her comic book counterpart, but a character inspired by the Joker would make for a nice tie back to TDK and would make a lot of sense (I'm sure Joker would inspire copycats in the same way that Batman did).

If not HQ, then at least Talia al Ghul since she ties back to BB.
Catwoman would just be silly.

Is any of this Preys business new or are sites just recycling what was purported by that random no-name site a couple weeks ago?

Either Nolan turns his script in on time or Tim Burton gets it done the next day with the help of Twitter!
Seriously, Tim Burton is such a fucking hack.

My spider sense says the next villain is Ra's. Now that Lincoln biopic has gone to Daniel Day Lewis, Liam Neeson's schedule looks open for 2011.

I am still saying Hugo Strange. The article that announced the title had Hugo Strange as a guess for the villain.

I think he is just recycling the news cause that sounded like exactly the same as the other article. It is Harry what do you expect.

I kinda want to see a villian who can actually pose a physical challenge to Batman (not bane), maybe the Red Hood?
Like I said, only Ra's Al Ghul can challenge Batman, both mentally as well as physically. He simply has to return. Its the third movie of the trilogy arc.

btw, wasn't the script due today? Anyone know what happened?

Nolan was late, so the studio got Brett Ratner on the horn to make sure this production got done quick.
