? what could this be used for?

I'm not particularly interested in toys, but at first glance I found that interchangeable open mouth to be completely hilariously ridiculous, but then I realized how familiar it looked.

Bale does make a derpy face a lot as Batman. Is it due to him actively forcing that raspy voice or is it how his lips move naturally?

It's so that people don't know it's him. Bale is such a method actor that he is convinced that even his castmates don't know he's both Bruce Wayne and Batman. Nolan has asked them to play along.

You should see the black Widow figure. It looks like a weird mini sex doll. Many of Hot Toys figures are great but that one just looks freaky. Better yet just look at it:

Wtf? Seriously?

Yeah, a couple of extras tweeted about it. I can't find them on SHH since those threads move so fast.

Ok, REAL news

http://www.superherohype.com/news/a...the-dark-knight-rises-teaser-coming-next-week

SuperHeroHype has received word from a trustworthy source that the teaser trailer and teaser poster for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theaters with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 next week! We're hearing that the teaser trailer is a minute and 33 seconds long and will play in both 2D theaters and IMAX 3D screens.

That's a pretty long teaser compared to TDK and Inception

An extra is spoiling the scene she shot with Morgan Freeman.

Read at your own risk.

Lol so Nolan likes to shout at the Batman Crew apparently.

That must be quite a sight.

Delicious if true.

It's not that bad of a spoiler guys. It could easily be a spoiler for the first two films.

No it's a spoiler for the next one, I don't remember the scene she describes being in either of the first two.

ugh...I really didn't want to see that fucking movie...it was bad enough they got me to see I Am Legend, now Harry Potter? Pick a decent movie for fucks sake.
It will be on youtubes in no time. No need to waste monies :p

Besides, we will have awesome lol worthy fan reactions to salivate over while we wait for the teaser to hit the net!

I'm guessing a teaser that long will have some footage...I'm surprised. I was waiting for comic-con for the first reveal.

I would guess WB will use Comic Con for the first reveal of Superman. Not at Comic Con but probably in EW or through a website.

I have a compulsion to see this in theaters... It's must be done.

WB is trying to get DH2 to break it's own weekend box office record set by the TDK and then TDKR to break that next year.

It's playing in front of the biggest film of the year. They've gotta show some footage rather than some audioclips.

TDK teaser was hype but that was because I was really excited to hear Ledger's Joker voice. Here I don't really give a fuck what Tom Hardy will sound like as Bane, I just wanna watch the world buuurn

lol it will be 1 minute of the logo slowly appearing and then you hear Pa Wayne say "Why do we fall, Bruce?" and then....The Dark Knight Rises

Harry Potter eh? I guess I'll be waiting til it's released online, or more accurately when the first pirated recording surfaces.

TDK teaser was 1 minute long and showed no footage. If this is really 33 seconds longer they either have to show a brief glimpse of footage or be really clever to have a teaser that long that shows nothing.

I expect it'll be similar to the first Inception teaser. Probably short glimpses of Catwoman/Bane/Batman with lots of text and fades to black in-between.

I feel the saaame way dude. I'll wait for it to leak though, no way is my dignity that low to risk going to see anything related to Harry Potter.

Do we think we'll get some footage?

That would be mighty impressive seeing how they are still in the third month of shooting.

The first TDK teaser was just a voice-over trailer.

I want to see Bane in motion.

I'll go see harry potter, but just leave after the trailer.

I tried to watch Deathly Hallows part 1 but I was bored to death.

HHHHYYYYPPPPEEEEE =D

What's with all the Potter hate here?

The new Harry Potter looks to be an incredible movie, and the reviews have been saying that thus far. It's worth seeing regardless, but obviously TDKR will add to that!

Hollywood Comes to CMU

Carnegie Mellon will once again play host to Hollywood, when several scenes for a major motion picture by Warner Bros., currently using the working title “Magnus Rex,” are filmed outside of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in late July, and inside and outside of the Mellon Institute in early August. Carnegie Mellon is working closely with the production company to ensure that the university and its students, faculty and staff will benefit from the movie-making experience with minimal disruption to normal operations.

Here's the skinny on the filming dates, the scenes and parking and traffic restrictions.

Where and When

Scenes will be filmed outside the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at the intersection of Dithridge and Henry streets from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31.

Scenes will be filmed outside of the Mellon Institute on the Fifth Ave. side from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, July 31, and inside of the Mellon Institute's fourth-floor entrance lobby on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 3-4.

Prep work for the filming will be taking place in both locations beginning July 11.

What Will Happen

Scenes outside the SEI, which will be portrayed as a prison, will include an explosion, a prison break, precision stunt driving, gunfire, atmospheric smoke, and controlled pyrotechnic explosions.

Scenes outside the Fifth Ave. entrance of Mellon Institute include a standoff between two rivals that escalates into a riot. One character drives a motorcycle through the fourth floor lobby, out the front doors and down the steps onto Fifth Ave. Special effects include precision stunt driving, gunfire and atmospheric smoke.

For general questions about the filming, please contact Carrie Chisholm at carriech@andrew.cmu.edu
