This is THE game for me right now. I haven't fallen so deeply for a game since 2011 with Skyrim and Dark Souls, and Halo Reach before that in 2010. Destiny is absolutely the most significant game for me of the last few years.

The negativity doesn't faze me one bit, it's just the usual extra vocal nay saying that happens every time a high profile highly anticipated AAA game is released. No game is perfect, but whatever flaws these type of games have are magnified and dwelled on by a certain segment of the gamer populace. I swear it's a tradition that began with the release of FFVII in the west and has been zealously upheld ever since.

My only gripes with Destiny are that the story/backstory are too austere for their own good. I also get annoyed when I choose to play a level on Hard, and it's more like Supra Mega Legendary Difficulty, where I can barely do any damage to some of the enemies. Yeah, I wanted a challenge, but shit.

Its exactly what I expected from the Beta, looking forward to playing it with friends but enjoying it nevertheless. Criticisms are fair but not enough for me not to enjoy the game.

Didn't get the play the Alpha. Didn't care. Didn't care about the Beta, but I went ahead and signed up for it just to see what the hype was about -- I hadn't been following the game until then. Absolutely fell in love with it.
