I think that's actually a simpler texture, the 360 one is the same as PC on max:

Fix The Scientist said:On PS3 it's like the more hours you play the worse it performs. I didnt experience the texture bug or stuttering until 15 hours+ and now at 30 hours it's getting worse and worse, Solitude was literally a slide show. But like someone said above quitting the game seems to fix it.

DF analysis can't come soon enough.
It's worth a try. =\Fix The Scientist said:Deleting save files could help on PS3? I have about 8... should i even bother deleting some?
Dorfdad said:Im going to chime in here. I have all three versions of the game. PC,PS3, and Now 360 (rented)
Hands down the PC version is the best but I will have to tell you I was more than impressed how the 360 version looks compared to the PC. Mind you I have a PC with a 570GTX and playing on ULTRA the PS3 version looks nothing like it Blurry textures and washed out looking. The 360 is damn close to the PC with some major benefits over the PS3 version.
What I noticed was on the PS3 everything took longer to do. Menu's loading, saving, and entering areas, even conversations. It seemed like I had to walk up and wait 2-3 seconds before someone would talk. When in dungeons the PS3 version looks great however but once your out in the sunlight it looks less impressive and everything has a shine to it. Shadows are horrible if you want an example go to Riverwood and look at the old lady at the entrance look at here face and look at the quality of the neckline and the shadows OUCH!!!!!!
Now if you have a 360 do the same and it looks night and day and closer to the PC. The 360 loads levels in 1/3 of the time as the PS3 enter rooms take like 2 seconds vs 8-10 for ps3 (small issues but still slower) The 360 version seems crisper as well. I did notice some screen tearing but Bethesda has said they are fixing that so I'm not worried.
Im no hater of the PS3 in fact I have 90% of my game on there, but for me Skyrim on PS3 is the worst version. 360 is the best console version and the PC is of course even better.
I will try to take some pictures and post them though I only have a iPhone and the quality with lighting and as nice.
Needless to say I will be selling my PS3 version and buying it on 360. It's that much better IMOH.

moop2000 said:The fucking menu lag on the 360 is goddamn maddening. Nice job with those unrecognized button presses constantly happening.
Dorfdad said:haven't had that, as I have however on the PS3 version encountered massive slowdown in the menus.
This never happens to me.moop2000 said:It's happening about 75% of the time when I open the menu or try to scroll through things. Sometimes the lag is behind by as much as 7 seconds. I'm thinking I'm going to shelve this until they've patched it cuz it's virtually unplayable.

boris feinbrand said:A big question here: My brother is experiencing massive problems with his PS3 version:
here are some of the more glaring issues:
-weapon not usable (drawn but controls won't work)
-constant freezes
-3rd person has massive animation problems (animations not shown, but actions are still performed)
Are those issues common or could his PS3 be on the verge of death?
(he also reported red lines and green spots in the menu after having played Skyrim)
When my 60GB died from GPU failure, there were funky visual problems that kept getting worse and worse, most notably poling/stretching of geometry off into infinity and white/dead/randomly-colored/flickering textures. It got to the point where some games became seizure-inducing, and a few actually stopped working properly. Eventually the system would crash on startup. Is it just Skyrim giving him trouble?boris feinbrand said:Are those issues common or could his PS3 be on the verge of death?

TheDrowningMan said:Going by the red and green lines, I'd say the biggest problem is with his PS3. It's not the greatest port and pales (literally) in comparison to the 360 version, but I had maybe two lock ups in ten hours and none of the other problems. The lines/spots sound like a dying GPU.

It seems that both versions need a patch right away, this shit is ridiculous....
Yeah, why even expect a working game at launch.arts&crafts said:lol the game came out 3 days ago I am sure a patch is coming.
