That University sounds like one of the most intolerant and bigoted places I have ever heard of.

And I'm a Christian.

One of the deans, with a straight face, told me that gays are the reason why civilizations fall. I had to bite on my tongue to hold back my laughter.

I've been keeping up with the threads lurker style for a while, so idk if this is completly out in left field, but if you search "BJU Graduate Assistant Faces Sex Charge" or any other combo of it on google the GAF thread for it is the second non video link that pops up, so they may have just been googling for damage control and came across the OP, and searched for more of his posts about the university.

Glad you're out of that madhouse. Never heard of the place before you told us of your experiences there, and I must say they've been very interesting.

As someone who's lived an almost completely secular life...I can't imagine.

Oddly enough they're okay with it. Plus I think they're happy about me going to USC Upstate because it's $1000 less than BJU's tuition. :P

How can they give you demerits? It's not like you're forced to attend. You're paying to go there.

And why were they stalking you on gaf? Showing such an interest in a single student is downright freaky.

I had been lurking in your threads for a while and it is awesome to see that you are finally out of that place... I still can't believe that such a tertiary education for ADULTS exists...

For a European like me this whole thing seems so .... unreal.
If a university were to expel students here because they're atheists the public outrage would be enormous. Not to mention the wave of anti-discrimination lawsuits that would follow.

They also wouldn't have much students left :)

This. They would be raised to the ground in the UK... and this would be payday for the OP.

Sounds like you are way way better off without these clowns. They don't sound like a University, they sound like an indoctrination camp.

This is the first I've read of your plight btw, I'll check out the other threads. An exposé of this school in documentary format would indeed be awesome.
