It's in the OP.
It doesn't work right, as has been covered in the rest of the thread. Just zooms things in. I'm talking about a real solution that removes the bars and doesn't do that.

lol are you serious ?
You can launch the game twice on two separate monitors with that build.
Anyone have a GTX 680 2GB? How's it running?
so is unlocking the 60fps a hard process?
I'm no expert either, but I'm pretty sure unlocking FPS doesn't increase VRAM usage. That's all based on certain graphical options, of which you can't change any in the settings in-game that would affect VRAM. Might be able to change them in the inis though.I have no knowledge of how VRAM works, so I have a question; will unlocking the framerate increase VRAM usage, and will it be a ton more demanding? I'm debating whether unlocking would be good for my 2GB card or not. I'd kind of rather get stable 30 than sub 60 and all over the place, but maybe I'm not looking this the right way.

I'm running
i5 3570k @4.3
AMD Radeon HD7950 3GB (I think it's 3GB)
8GB RAM
Unlocked to 60fps and aspect ratio at 1.8 which removes almost all of the black bars, and I'm averaging fps in the 40s. Chapter 2 though, wasn't running fraps at the beginning.

Please no
how are so many of yall playing this already?
It's unlocked just about everywhere except the US.
Glass Rebel has a 2GB 670 and he's running the game fine (1080p with max settings), although it doesn't hold 60fps.
Anybody with an i5 2570k @ stock running this at 60fps? Is it CPU intensive?
Steam command line modifiers (ie. The shortcut switches) are entered in with a comma between each command, or is it no comma and just a space? Want to add in both the enable console switch and the 60 fps lock. Always get them wrong if it is inputting more than one.

I feel bad for those who got 4gb cards just for this game.
Hysteria always grabs a few victums, but they made it out with a GTX 970.I feel bad for those who got 4gb cards just for this game.
Is sharing disabled for this game? Have a buddy that wanted to check out my copy to see if he likes it but it isn't showing up in his account under shared games.

The latter.

Ok so I got to bigger outdoor areas and the game dropped to the 30s at times and hovered in the 40s for others.
And yeah, while texture-wise this game is more hit and miss (at least in the areas I've played so far), it really has a lot of standout moments due fantastic lighting, motion blur and detailed character models. Seeing it at high resolution and in motion in front of me is really something else. But yeah, I had some texture streaming issues during cutscenes with a lot of cuts which is probably again id Tech 5's fault, but it didn't annoy me as much as the skip-hint in the lower-right corner.
So far, so good!
with a 780ti? damn.![]()
Just finished the second chapter and will play more later after some sleep, but here some technical feedback: game ran at constant 30 FPS at 1080p and maxxed out settings. To me, this is Wolfenstein all over again where my friend and I expected the worst only to find out that the game runs pretty well on mid-tier machines.
