They really didn't do a good job of showing off the game in that quicklook. I actually think the quicklook for Persona 1 was better. It felt a bit rushed.

I had the same reaction going into P4 after having played P3.
Eventually I came to love those characters on their own merrits, even though they seemed like "off" versions of the characters I had come to love at first glance.

Yeah, I remember thinking the same thing when I seen the first trailer for Persona 4 after having spent so many hours with the Persona 3 cast. But the characters really are very different and I love the cast from both games

In Persona 4 the gang are pretty much best friends through the whole game which I liked, but I also enjoyed how Persona 3 had a lot of moments where certain characters really hated each other.

Yes, but the current carts can hold two gigs of data (which is a little more than what a UMD can hold), and they're supposedly working on ways to make bigger carts.

The issue Atlus potentially has with going HD isn't whether or not people own the HD consoles. It's whether or not they can afford to make a game on one.

After that they are free to recycle tons of assets again.

The best-of videos suck because they never have any of their weird rants or personal discussions from the grinding videos. Momopingo did a great job with getting the memorable meme moments and with the editing, but the off-hand comments and B-tier jokes that made the Endurance Run so awesome are not in tow, which sucks because those were some of the funniest (if not the most memorable) moments.

All of the characters were pretty much stereotypes. Not liking certain ones is fine, but saying it's just because "they're blatant stereotypes" when ALL of them are typical manga/anime stereotypes is just dumb. Applies to both P3 and P4.
