How quickly he seemed to die when under fire looks to be at odds with that play style, if that's what they were going for. If the devs implement a system that rewards comboing head shots (even if it is just score based, which who knows) then I don't think a player can be blamed for playing to that system.
Also, if it is a game about running around and shooting everything. Shouldn't the movement be faster, and shouldn't enemies run towards you? Didn't seem, from the quick look, like it was trying to evoke 90's style run & gun FPS's to me.
