Since Sony asked them to/removed support for it. :\
 
Catching up on some of these, man Ryan's comment about Miles Edgeworth being the Sephiroth of the Phoenix Wright universe fucking kills me :lol

Their video window is 640x360 and the PSP's native resolution is 480x272, so i'm not disagreeing with you on that. However, the PSP video they're showing inside the PSP border is roughly 428x240, so it's actually smaller than what the PSP produces.

Well, they didn't want it to look like 75% of PS3 owners have no trophies at all come February 28 and one half. They were just looking out for Giant Bomb users, they'd have been humiliated if somebody loaded up their profile and saw 0 trophies. They were just thinking ahead.


edit: sorry for the bump, apparently I can't tell the difference between yesterday at 10:59 PM and today at 10:59 AM on the last post.

all the sites mining the data make Sony's trophy servers slow. There's been times where you can't even sync because of it. It's easier for Sony to ask sites to stop than upgrade their service.

Progressive is the old style where it keeps downloading the entire stream as it plays so you can skip forwards/backwards. Streaming only plays 'live' so no skipping around the stream.

hold up. that's not how I see it.

with progressive, I can't skip forward to a spot later in the clip unless it's already downloaded.

with streaming (new method) I can go from minute 1 to minute 30 of a long clip immediately. I just click on the spot I want on the timeline bar.

Imagine you're watching a 60 minute ER episode. you get cut off 45 minutes in - crash, power failure, whatever. when you reopen your browser you're gonna want to use the streaming option to immediately jump back in at minute 45 instead of having to wait for the video to load the first 45 minutes before you can get back there.

OK thanks. Glad they put progressive back as an option, I did not care for the streaming.
 
Wish Id known they were coming to Liverpool, I could have suggested much better places to hang around at night than matthew street :lol
 
Loved the bit on the aeroplane and the constant stream of music food puns, but I couldn't help feeling ashamed when they showed the typical UK nightlife.

"Lucy in the sky with doughnuts" and "I am the egg sandwich" justified that video in the space of a few seconds.
