If you enjoyed how the game looked from this quick look, I think you might've had the QL on mute. You'll love the game.
Well, to be more specific I thought it looked awesome :D Seeing that entire bridge collapse as they boosted through, weaving between obstacles, with cars exploding left and right was great. I'm not sure what people were expecting from Motorstorm in a destroyed city?

MotorStorm is also pretty difficult when you are first starting out. Lots of crashing until you get used to all the tracks and the paths in them.

Yeah I thought it looked good too, especially the rain hurricane stage. One or two races you'll know what to avoid and what you can plow through. Like the sugar cane field in Sugar Rush (PRift).

The only time it's best to use 3rd person is when you're on a bike or atv (not that you can use hood or first person with them). Their handling is better for it. This isn't Ridge racer where you power slide through corners without a care in the world. Just going off my PR experience, and MS1 as well actually. The game is fast, feels like you're on the edge of destruction and when you're comfortable with it it's very controlled until the AI become kamikaze pricks.

Motorstorm looked really good running on the Bravia at the Sony store a few days ago. Damn good graphics.

My problem with the series is I don't think they are very fun. Too much AI rubberbanding.

Also, dat motion comic. @_@

I remember seeing the screenshot thread about this game on GAF and thinking it looked really good. The QuickLook makes it seem like they worked very harder making the most painful experience possible.

Someone send these motherfuckers a copy of Wind Waker, show them how to make sailing that doesn't make you want to drown yourself
It's perfectly in line with their past games. They do everything they can to make you hate them and give up, but if you stick with it there is a ton to love about them. (Not that Pathologic and The Void were fun per se even after you got past all their crazy and jank)

I'm all for games being uphill struggles if that's what people like about them, but this makes Demon's Souls look like Mario Kart

Why would they tell the apartment receptionist that he's a cop? The fucking guy who lent you the ID literally just told you that people hate cops and off-worlders. Use your goddamn brains, Vinny and Ryan. :|

Their way of playing a game where you have full customizable vehicles is to follow the blueprints exactly and do no experimentation at all. When they find they did it not matching the blueprint they went back and fixed it.

That's.. probably missing the point, guys

Could this top the legendary Noby Noby Boy QL?

Maybe.

In all seriousness, people seriously need to check out Pathologic (and The Void) from Ice-Pick, especially Pathologic. It's one of those games that gave a similar feeling to me after I watched The Wire. That game, although flawed in some places, sticks with you.

The RPS writeup got me to play it originally and it's one of the most memorable games I have ever played. It's a horribly flawed game in so many ways, but it's well worth the time it takes to get through it.

I, for one, think Cargo has some real potential going for it. Sure, flaws and whatever, but im thanful games like these get made, and im so getting it at a discount price.

Agreed. The quicklook really sold me on it. Looks brilliantly crazy..

The Void was one of the worst 'recommended' experiences I've ever played.

Wow, I'm glad they did Gemini Rue. They have one game on Steam called Emerald City, if you want to check them out on a "service".
Also note that the game has audio commentary, for people who like that stuff.

It'd be nice if Vinnie would check out their other games. The Shivah has a pretty cool story and story system.

From Ryan's Twitter:

We've got an hour-plus Quick Look EX of Dungeon Siege III with Obsidian's Nathaniel Chapman coming up. Look for it soon!

Looking forward to this. Either my day 1 preorder will be confirmed or waiting for the $30 price drop decision will be made from this video.

WOW! Can't wait!

Drinking Game: take a shot every time he says Um.
Die of alcohol poisoning a few minutes into the QL

Funny how vinny made a cameo "you were talking about buffs.."

Having the knowledge of how often he says Um kinda makes me unable to watch this haha.
