Since the beta was susposed to launch till now there have been 29 pages of people bitching about this....wow. I underestimated the stupidity of the interweb masses.

Yeah I kinda feel bad for the RTW guys.

First, your game is announced to have Halo 3 beta invite without you even knowing. Kinda makes u feel like u needed it for ur game to sell. Now everyone is blaming RTW, calling their game shit, and asking for a refund. Kinda sucks after spending all that time on the game.

All these guys did was put a link to the download in the game!

Bullshit - they sold thousands (hundreds of thousands?) of additional copies of game just because of that little sticker on the front.

I must say, it's completely irresponsible to have such a specific time mapped out eons in advance and have absolutely no intention of ensuring it OR coming up with another specific time to meet. I'm sure plenty of people scheduled around this and not having a backup is just disgusting.

I also regret not taking up a friend on their offer of piggybacking onto their beta invite. I got double screwed by this! Front loaded my week so I'd have alot of work and no time for sneaking into the beta on Monday/Tues and plenty of time for apparantly not playing the beta today!

That’s the sound of millions of unhappy gamers cursing at their Crackdown options screen waiting for Master Chief to finally show up.

Microsoft have acknowledged there are problems with the Beta access which is granted via special editions of top title Crackdown. Entry to the Beta via any other means (invitations, press codes etc) seem to be working fine. Those of you waiting to use your Crackdown ‘golden ticket’ will need to wait just a little longer than expected.

Microsoft are working on the problem and hope to issue a fix shortly. Not soon enough for some of you judging by the comments section!

We’ll keep on top of this story as it develops and post any updates as soon as we get them.

Microsoft are allegedly releasing Halo 3 Beta to Crackdown owners gradually in order to reduce strain on the Live! platform. Expect more info shortly.

Rumours now being reported that Halo 3 Beta will now not be available to Crackdown owners until tomorrow (17/05/07)

I have actually thought about the same thing since halo 1 came out... if i never see halo ever againg i will suicide... not sure because of this i want to finnish halo 3 campaign before even thinkin about suiciding but... ahh.. well... withou halo i would have suicided years ago... everyone hates me i have no life i fail in school... i got money though!!! but not really helping to get me happiness... halo is the only thing keepin me alive!

You know, I really don't want to join the waammbulance squad. But damn is this a mind **** of aday already. They should give us an extra day of beta for this. I would'nt be so pissed if they hadn't given a time, but damn. The reason I didn't try to get in the other ways is because I bought Crackdown. No I didn't buy the game for the beta, but it was more incentive for me to. I'm so glad I didn't take off today as some people already have.

I'm sure a lot of people bought Crackdown for the Halo 3 beta, but that's no reason for those ****tards on Bungie.net to cry about it being a "shitty game" (it's certainly not) or blaming RTW for the mishap when it of course wasn't their idea to have the game host the Halo 3 beta. It seems someone should have tested to see if the ****ing button worked, though. I'm just pissed (as others are) that this highly anticipated download isn't available when it was supposed to be. To pour salt on the wound, other people who didn't pay for the beta got in early and people have been playing for days now. It just sucks, so hard, that the beta is sitting there on the servers and some broken button is preventing us from downloading it. How the hell could Microsoft **** this up?
