The Halo 3 Beta Thread

I mean seriously... hello.... did anybody as MS or Bungie try this out yesterday or the day before to make sure it worked?? Someone's losing their job..... this seriously does suck but what can you do...
 
I laid down to take a nap with the mindset of "I'm usually late to the party, so might as well take a nap".....I wake up and it's still down with no real word of what's going on. :( :(

Someone on X-S almost got banned for mentioning a torrent on Demonoid, but hell if I know how you'd parlay it into a working game. It's not an ISO.

To say whining and whatnot is immature is a bit ridiculous, too. Some of us have been waiting all day long to come home and fire up our consoles, ready to finally play something that's been on our minds for the last few months. I can't stop hitting F5.

I wanted to play tonight after work, but it looks like that might not happen. Guess all I have to look forward to is Lost :(

I'm not sure I'd even play the beta if it was made available right now. Crackdown is crack. I found it relaxing and cool the first time I played it, but now it's just plain crack.

I paid 60 bucks for CD and got a F&F invite, and I've played CD maybe 10 minutes total :lol And I didn't suck up to anyone...I'm really not sure how I got it, but oh well.

And yea, I'd be pissed if I was waiting on CD, but some people are acting like this is a matter of life and death. Quit acting like the people who have been playing are some how rubbing it in your face, no one has said anything to that effect, I want more people in this thing ASAP, I can't even play the Team Slayer playlist because there are no people ranked high, unless I want to wait 15 minutes in MM, hell I've been sayin I couldn't wait until the influx of people on Wed. since 3-4 days ago.

Funny how Bungie can fix a glitch that allows you to download some free maps in about five minutes, but can't get the beta up to people who bought Crackdown. I guess they said,"shit, we already got their money. I'll flip the switch later"

No clue. I know nothing about the 360 modding scene. I know that flashed firmwares haven't been punished, and a method to fix the GPU heatsink, but all of my experience is with the original Xbox.

I've been following this thread off and on all day at work, and I can't believe the lack of any official PR on this. Microsoft has been really dropping the ball these days on consumer relations. I was really looking foward to spending some uninterrupted time with the beta tonight as the girlfriend is out of town, but the chance of that happening looks bleak. Between all the 360 failures, Gears Map pack dickery, XBLA migration problems, and the Shadowrun debacle, this just pisses me off even further. I can also say that I'm not too surprised that Microsoft's number one apologist, Major Nelson, is running with his tail between his legs skirting the whole issue. I'm sure he'll have a great podcast next week railing on 360 fans again.

Ok, i got an email from Bungie today w/ a bunch of letters & numbers. I was picked back in january or something like that when registration was going on. What am I supposed to do?
