Hey, thats the price they gotta pay for screwing up so bad. I don't care if the server fails cause everyone is downloading, at least a downloadable version of the beta would be OUT THERE. But judging by the lack of PR you shouldn't worry about 4 million people downloading. We'll be waiting till tomorrow.

You have 2 options:

1. Redeem it in the xbox live blade "redeem code"

2. Sell it on this forum and make a small *notices size of thread* large fortune

go to redeem code on the marketplace blade and enter it there. it will then open up the download screen for halo 3
 
Wait a minute, I thought the point of this beta was to work out the bugs in the game and the live network using a large number of beta testers to simulate the load the product will endure when its released? Isn't that whats going on here? Now quit your whining while I go back to my 360 and play some more Halo 3..........(I kid, I kid - I'm waiting just like the rest of you).

think the fact we are not hearing much from Bungie and Co is simple really, something has screwed up big time, they cant come out and set a deadline because they don't know when it will be fixed so they might as well keep shut, get it fixed as soon as possible and ride the storm out.

sometimes the less said the better, do we really need Luke or Stinkles to come on here and run damage control...think in a way the fact they ain't doing it is a sign of respect to the Community.

The code should only be about 20 characters or so, seperated by dashes. It's not that big. My code took one minute to enter using the controller.

You know, I always find it vaguely irritating when people advocate "keeping calm" and "giving people a break" in cases like this. I've been at work all day, so the delay doesn't affect me in the least, but if it _isn't_ resolved by the time I get home, I'll be annoyed. And rightly so! This is, after all, not your kindly neighbor doing you a favor, but a multi-national corporation who's _business_ is selling you games. Yes, things go wrong; but they _should_ have had this right. Like it or not, by attaching the beta to Crackdown, they've turned access to this beta into a quasi-sale. An undeniable part of the value-proposition of Crackdown was the Halo Beta. Crackdown was a good game, but I know I would have certainly traded it long before now if not for this Beta. Will it kill me to wait 24 hours? No. But I shouldn't have to, and I certainly reserve the right to bitch and moan about it.

Not to mention that this is a thread about the beta: the fact that it isn't up, and the reaction to that failure is the biggest news relevant to this thread.
 
I like how Major Nelsons site is down because of 'high load'

I guess that post he made last night "Halo 3 Ready to Download thru Crackdown" would rile people up a little too much.

That and 5000 'f*ck you' comments...
 
Holy crap@this thread - I feel for my fellow Crackdown brethen who are still waiting...

Hopefully Bungie and MS can get this sorted out soon... but man this thread is huuuuuuuge...
