You know, I always find it vaguely irritating when people advocate "keeping calm" and "giving people a break" in cases like this. I've been at work all day, so the delay doesn't affect me in the least, but if it _isn't_ resolved by the time I get home, I'll be annoyed. And rightly so! This is, after all, not your kindly neighbor doing you a favor, but a multi-national corporation who's _business_ is selling you games. Yes, things go wrong; but they _should_ have had this right. Like it or not, by attaching the beta to Crackdown, they've turned access to this beta into a quasi-sale. An undeniable part of the value-proposition of Crackdown was the Halo Beta. Crackdown was a good game, but I know I would have certainly traded it long before now if not for this Beta. Will it kill me to wait 24 hours? No. But I shouldn't have to, and I certainly reserve the right to bitch and moan about it.
Not to mention that this is a thread about the beta: the fact that it isn't up, and the reaction to that failure is the biggest news relevant to this thread.
