question: i've started playing Halo 2 online recently and I don't get the hold a button to talk thing. If you're on a team, why make it so you have to hit a dpad button to talk to people?

Got in through the 3 hours of Halo 2. And just barely got the 3 hours in.

My brother (leguna) also got in as well.

In order to get the 3 hours in. I just set up 1v1 game between us that lasted 1 hour (three times). And it worked!
We'll be more than happy to play!
And I'm glad the public beta has 2 players on 1 system cuz a lot of my friend want to play!

I wasn't planning on doing much organization aside from the thread. I realize that would be helpful but I just got a new job at work and it's going to be craaaazy busy for the next month. I'm others will be arranging games and playtimes in here thought.

I have a question. Did anyone else here get into the beta by simply registering on the Halo 3 website a long time ago? I registered on there, and got an email saying I got in, but all the press I'm reading said that there were only two ways to get into the beta so now I'm nervous that I'll miss out.

If you got the email confirming you were in, then you're in. The next step is, you'll get an email with the beta key and instructions. Stinkles said in a thread here that you'll get the notice right before you begin playing - I think that means the key goes out as soon as the Beta goes live.

Also, by request I'm changing the way I list gamertags in the OP - the list of gamercards was getting epic so I've converted to text for ease of loading and for sending Friend requests. I'm still playing with the formatting and may do other things with it as well so let me know if there's any suggestions. I've updated through where I was last night and will get everyone else on there this afternoon.
