Man, I look like a compete Halo virgin when you go to my Bungie.net page. 11 games played? Embarrassing!

I had a different Gamer Tag (Noble Penguin) in the Xbox days. So... it's not quite as bad as it looks. I'm still not very good, though...

Gah! That tease again. I still haven't a clue what these could be. :lol

I have updated the OP with a link to everyone's bungie.net profile. From there you can see the player's gamercard, and click on it to see the full profile on xbox.com and send a friend request from there. It took a crazy long time to edit the links in, so if I messed any up let me know. I've gone in and done spot-checking but not clicked on every one of them.

I'll update with the new additions later tonight.
 
I'm just wondering if there's going to be party system in the beta.

If so, it could end up being potentially absurdly awesome.
 
Stinkles. I'm going out of town for one week during the beta :( . If I let my friend recover my gamertag, can she play it while I'm gone? Is it tied to my xbox or gamertag?

I'm in, both via Crackdown and the Rule of 3 promotion. I'll actually be taking my 360 into work on the 16th, as I just got back from vacation and won't be able to take another day off until around Memorial Day. 10 more days....

Gathering up gamertags is partly why I started the thread early. We'll have a good listing in the OP by the time news hits. It looks like come Friday we'll have MUCH to talk about. Some lucky souls might even be playing then via that F&F thing (lots of bungie.net guys will get invited) so we'll have impressions as well.

I'm personally excited to see the difference in visuals between the Alpha and Beta, and what other kinds of Equipment we get to tinker with.

I wasn't even going to start it, but I didn't get to do the Bungie Weekly Update this week and a lot of people were expecting me to. I didn't even realize I'd set some kind of expectations around them. I thought, better start the Beta thread rather than have the other guy get told he's not Ghaleon a hundred times. :lol

I think so. It will be the single biggest unveiling of Halo 3 information so far. We know the maps and a few weapons, and the equipment, but that's about it. Nothing about gametypes, matchmaking features, no screens of the beta itself. Fridayton indeed.

Oh man I just thought, what if bungie did a podcast for this friday with Luke on it?

i just realized i have this friday off! i'd have liked to have gone camping, or fishing, but now i'm afraid i'll likely sit in front of the computer on gaf all day :lol
 
Will we be able to have guests when playing online in the Beta? God, I hope so. That way Beta parties could actually be a reality.
 
this is a little OT but things like these threads make me wish for shared friends lists/Clans in the dash cross game.

My Friends list has zero room for growth (maybe the whole 600 messenger contacts thing can work to free that abit).

Anyway thank god for Crackdown, taking the day off work & expecting my friends list to be on fire on this release, been replaying after the map packs came out & man goign back makes you release how much fun i is (Team SWAT FTW!), anyway expecting great things and great storys from our three weeks with the demo!

? i thought there were only 3 maps in the beta?


What I can't wait for is new details regarding the weapons, and for some gameplay footage. I cannot wait till friday.
