Me and some friends just started playing Halo 2 again for the first time in what, two years maybe? I'm still getting my skills back (I'd say I'm about average) but it's getting us all in the mood. I'll definitely add some of you guys for the beta. I'm off the 16th through the 20th.

I've been playing more and more Halo 1 and 2 as the beta gets closer.

I refinished the campaign of Halo 1 a few hours ago.

Ghaleon, do you have Frankie's comments on the party system or lack thereof? He said something cryptic that implied there wouldn't be one, but there would still be a way to play together. I recall thinking that it would be using the "Prefer player" feature to make it likely for friends to play together.

Anyone know the suggested player counts on these maps? I really hope they're not all 16 player size maps, that would suck High Ground looks like it could be a 4v4 size map, I know Valhalla (sp?) is big, Snowbound has an inside/outside portion, so it's probably fairly large too...

There's a big, medium and small map included. The only map really big enough for 16-players is Valhalla. High Ground looks to be roughly the size of Zanzibar from the screens, perhaps smaller. Snowbound is the smallest of the three and doesn't appear to have any vehicles on it. Hopefully it's a good mix.

I updated the OP with everyones gamercard or tag. If thats too big let me know and I'll cut it, but I thought by the time the Beta starts it may come in handy, despite the hugeness. And if you're in the Beta, you're probably not on 56k so hopefully it doesn't kill anyone.
