Does feedback actually work as far as permanently blocking someone?
I'm actually still at work - just got done with very boring conference call (multi-tasking FTW!) and am heading home now. Alas, no Halo 3 until the kids are in bed. Two and a half hours! Oh man i can not wait for this. one thing i noticed though is that for some reason people are posting saying they have only played a couple of matches but are done for the day? i already set my work schedule to were i get off at 4 the day it hits and play till 1 in the morning and then the following day get off at 6 and have friday off. any reason why people don't seem to be playing long sessions?

So, about this kid problem: If they're getting in the way of you Halo 3 playing, just give them some sleepy pills, the brats will stop keeping you from the important things in life in no time.

Im not too worried about the wait, only a few more days, well less than 2 atm. Why am I not worried or impatient?
Well because Id rather wait the 2 days now than the 4 months after the beta is over, although I have to wait as does everyone else, I just look at the difference. The 4 months will be severely more difficult when it comes.

I hate MLG
Wooooo, finally made it to the end of this thread. Thought I'd never catch up. Never played Halo1 or 2 Multi, just coop and never had much desire to do so, but all the movies have gotten me jazzed. I might have to try multi for the first time. I assume you need a gold membership to play the beta.
It sucks seeing the hate MLG gets here with no defense.
You guys have to realize there's a difference between the people who actually play MLG professionally and are sponsored and the kids who wish they did.
A good number of the pros can be jerks, of course, but for the most part they're good guys. All of Final Boss, for example, are extremely mature.
A while ago (early 2005) I had the fortune of getting matched with AYB Fonzi in Rumble Training or something. He's one of the better players on the MLG Circuit and he was nice as could be. We made small talk throughout the match and I wished him luck for the season and all of that. He won considerably, as expected, but he never trash talked or anything. He was just a nice guy.
And, on the whole, MLG is doing good things for videogames. The immature pricks are a huge downside to that, but fortunately Bungie's new and improved mute option will help with that.

I also saw a game on Bungie.net where this guy played the two Ogres and a PMS girl. He won 2-0. He makes a thread on Bungie.net talking about it and the PMS girl came in there said "Yeah, but we had more kills than you. You just got lucky, we won." And a bunch of other crap. Yet, they only had maybe five to 10 more kills than the other team.
I have no respect for "professional" gamers and it's not because I'm jealous either. I've seen their interviews, most of them are conceited. There was one guy who talked about "training" on Halo 2. It consisted of nothing more than playing. That's not training. Stupid.
