The Halo 3 Beta Thread

Thanks for the heads up on those newspaper stuff, Ghaleon! I really like the look of the (I think) Ninja helmet. Very Ninja-like.

Question:

What is that huge Whale-Skeleton looking thing in the background of like, EVERY, Halo 3 add when he gets to earth.

Someone told me once it was the wreckage of some sort of MAC gun platform/station or such.

Could someone drop some knowledge?

Have you guys said how exactly you're going to handle the artbook thingie for the people who are getting the Legendary (since it's not included)? It's the dealbreaker for me between the CE and the LE.

Maybe it's just because the Xbox.com version has been my wallpaper since it went up on b.net, and I'm used to it by now. The Amazon one is new, and more action packed. I would rather have it as boxart, than the art.

Maybe the "Microsoft Game Studios" crap all over it is affecting my judgement of it, But the cover looks a little crowded. ITs not like it really matters to me cause Halo 1 and 2 didn't have the greatest box arts in the world.(except the LE of Halo 2, that was Hawt)

You serious? If the CE case comes inside the LE helmet then that will save me $70.

I doubt there will be a seperate set of exterior packaging inside the case. I think it's far more likely that the two discs inside the LE tin will be housed in a package similar to the Gears of War set, and that wil be the set that is found inside the helmet. But who knows?

You mean a cardboard case inside the helmet, similar to the one found inside the GeOW LE? That would be ok I guess, but not what i had in mind. However, it is very probable. To do so many different packages, would cost them a lot.

That's what I was thinking. Since the first bonus disc in the LE is the same as in the CE, just include that part of the package, and then add the second bonus disc.
 
They'll probably just dump the loose discs in the helmet and let them rattle around and such. Friggin' M$.
 
Pre-Jenny Craig Chief probably won't make it past the quality control security system for cover art. Money is on the "emotion" reiteration being the final box art for the game's standard edition. This is just a speculative guess.

It fits with the method used to develop Halo 2's cover, using an established setting (from the E3 demo), pose (OXM cover) and style ("branding campaign" imagery). In this case, the location from the announcement trailer and the Halo 3 branding campaign artwork.

Why do we care? It's not like we'll be sitting at home or in our car on Sept. 25 fapping to the box cover art. Well, most of us won't anyway.

Well the last 4 games I have tried playing have ended up with me sitting in a game all by myself. Granted it ends right away since I'm the only player but still I would actually like to play for a change. My NAT is open, I've tried resetting my router. Fix it, fix it, fixit!

What if we are in the middle of a custom game, and we just leave our xbox on?

I don't know who your avatar is, but he looks like a deranged Brummie. So in my head head he talks with kind of a Wolverhampton accent and is goofy.
