The Jackbox Party Pack 2 announced at PAX Prime (along with Fibbage 2)

Jackbox Games, the team behind zany party bundle The Jackbox Party Pack today announced plans for a sequel.

While the original five-title pack was anchored by trivia game You Don't Know Jack, the new bundle's central game will be Fibbage 2. In Fibbage, players respond to an obscure trivia question with answers designed to bamboozle opponents. All the players' fake replies, as well as the correct answer, are then presented. If a player chooses your fake answer, you win a point.

Fibbage 2 will also feature a streaming mode, allowing thousands of spectators to watch games and to vote on their favorite fake answers. The Jackbox Party Pack 2 will be released in the fall for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

thanks to Nick Robinson of Polygon for the images (and Fibbage is such an excellent party game, so it's great to see a sequel being made!)

I loved Fibbage, but its replayability is incredible low once you have seen all of the questions in your group of friends.

Hopefully this issue can be addressed somehow.

aaaaaaa fuck yes

just announce frequent new content or community moderated prompts or something and it'll be perfect. repeated prompts are a big problem, even in XL.

the jackbox folks are amazing, sure this will be great

Anecdotally, just about all of my friends prefer Fibbage over YDKJ.

I guess Fibbage just didn't last enough for us, we finished it in like 2 nights. So it wasn't enough for us to really love it, we just went back to YDKJ.

We played the PS3 game, then the 2015 version and we need more.

Hell yes. Jackbox is the best thing. It'd be sweet if all the games have audience participation like Quiplash does since that is nice if you end up with like 10 or 12 people.

Yeah, any game that relies on trivia is going to run into that problem sooner or later. I do love the creative aspect of Fibbage though.

the comments about dropping YDKJ are right

... because YDKJ should be a standalone game again as its timing-reliant format works better with controllers than using a phone and it's only 4 players anyways

any other reason is pretty fucked up because ydkj ownssss

That is a good point. It is fine for most of the game where a split second difference is just a few dollars, but if they're sticking with the phone control scheme they need to have a different final round than the Jack Attack. Because even if your phone connections are perfect it feels like it isn't fair.

Drawful is better than Fibbage, at least among my friends. I think part of it is, a lot of people can't draw, and a ton of the questions in Fibbage are just plain ridiculous...

I hope they get rid of the shitty games like Lie Swatter, Word Spud, and You Don't Know Jack.

I wonder if Quiplash will be in it, since it just came out. I hope they give a discount on Steam for people that own it already, if it's one of the games.

Super excited about this! Fibbage is def one I felt needed an expansion or something. I hope there will be Drawful 2. That and quiplash are the faves among my friends.

I just bought this this last week and have loved it the two times we've got to break it out. Only played Drawful and Fibbage but they rock.

Anyone saying that they should drop YDKJ disgusts me.

agree 100%.

It's actually kinda sad that we might get get a solo YDKJ game and it's now part of these "packs" forever.

I haven't been able to play the first pack with college friends yet since it only went on sale literally the day we were moving out in May, but I'll probably pick this up day 1. Had a great time playing it with online friends and I'd like to support them.

Family friendly checkbox and I'll buy on Xbox and steam.

(I double dipped for a recent holiday where we played using my wife's laptop)

Also more drawful is needed, and throw in a Quiplash too (drop word spud) Fibbage/drawful/Quiplash is all I need

Hell fucking yea, return of the king baby!

They do need to fix the jack attack in this version. The lag does not help in it's competitive and quick nature.

I never actually liked You don't know Jack to be honest.

What in the actual fuck?

I'd really need a German version of this. Most of my friends speak pretty good english, but for a writing party game it's not really enough...

The games are as family friendly as you make them, though our games tend to devolve into Nazi puns and 9/11 denier memes...

So yeah, YMMV.

I really hope they make YDKJ at least 5 player. I never play it, because the whole reason I ever load up the party pack is because there's a big group of us, with too many people for any other 4 player game.

I honestly hope they include a new Quiplash in this pack.

Quiplash is amazing, and was sadly not in the last pack, but is still a killer party game!

U wot m8?

Well, in its current form, it doesn't really work when streamed, which is the most important thing for me.

Word Spud and Lie Swatter are just trash, though.

I actually like Quiplash a LOT more than Fibbage, and when people come over for parties, we enjoy it a lot more. I'm guessing Quiplash will be in this party pack. Excited to see what else is in it
