The Last Guardian Collectors Edition is up at Amazon!

I got mine from Amazon last night and the box is a little dented :/ I'm keeping it sealed so I won't be opening it.
 
Amazon UK or .com out of interest? I wonder if this was a specific batch of orders that got utterly fucked and then they quickly realised their mistake or not. They've magically come back in stock on U.K. as well which makes me think they got a bunch of returns lined up.
 
Oh boy. Amazon UK here as well, and no shipping box. Just the CE itself with labels slapped on. Shit show.

Have a replacement coming tomorrow so I am hoping it is in mint condition and sent properly this time. Absolutely stupid to be sending it out like they did.

May order from GAME or shopto in case they eff it up again though.
 
Huh. Just realized the US and UK CE boxes are completely different. Lol Here in the US the CE doesn't come packaged in a white embossed box.
 
Completely crazy packaging, or lack thereof.

My art book arrived damaged but Amazon is sending a replacement. Now I'm a bit worried they'll send the box out in the wild, sans mail packaging D:

Ordered it from local retailer and haven't received it yet, but should soon.
 
This thread has me worried. I got mine in, but haven't opened the brown box yet. I hope nothing is damaged inside, plan on checking tonight so i can alert Amazon if I'm not happy.
 
First of all, this is a beautiful collectors edition, definitely one of my favourites so far! The Trico statue is incredibly detailed and I was a little wary of the boy however it doesn't look that bad in person as it is really tiny, up close pictures make it look a lot worse!

However, Amazon dropped the ball on this one, the same as others here they just slapped a sticker on the box and called it a day. I've ordered countless collectors editions and never had any like this so how they managed to screw it up is beyond me. They did send my PS4 like this though, surprised it didn't go "missing". Also I found some humour in the fact that the jiffy bags I ordered arrived alongside this and they were better packaged!

I'm in the U.S. The package came in a shipping box and with a bubble cushion so I don't know how they manage to dent the package.

Likely means the game box was dropped/dented at the warehouse prior to being put into the box.

I'm actually disappointed with this CE even though the statue is super nice. The art book cover is amazing but the actual content is sparse. My steelbook had black marks on it so it's essentially ruined as well.

Depends on the reasoning and the seller, I guess. My art book was damaged and Amazon sent me a second Collector's Edition without asking me to send the first one back. I merely asked for a replacement of the art book. . . . I'll have two CE's now. Hopefully I luck out and the second is either flawless, or damaged differently with different parts.

My Amazon.com copy of the limited edition has been "Preparing for Shipment" since the 6th. I preordered it in August. I'm very worried that if it arrives right in the middle of Christmas it will be in carrier limbo for days.

Yeah I have no idea what is going on with mine too. Amazon keeps brushing me off telling me it will reach me by the estimated arrival date (which has slipped from the 16th to the 19th and then 21st of December).

That's ridiculous, got mine from shopto, came in a cardboard box, had black marks all over the white sleeve, but wiped off ok.

I woke up with an email from Amazon: my LE shipped this morning, with an estimated arrival date on the 22nd. Crossing fingers.

Got one as well and was surprised by the quality of the statue too, looks really nice. Bought mine in the store, had no real issues with the packaging. At my Mediamarkt they just dumped those special editions on the floor in the game aisle. They have an info/customer lobby, at least put them out there. Together with those Amazon stories it's sad to see expensive items like that treated that way. The regular edition is neatly put on the shelf, the €130 LE is dumped on the ground :p

Nope, Amazon's return policy is really good, they'll replace, refund or give a discount on pretty much any item without proof there's anything wrong with the item. Obviously, this makes it open to abuse but they will and have banned accounts who do it multiple times. I've asked for replacements for 3 items, one of which was the Arkham Knight Collectors Edition, they sent me out another one and let me keep the original!

Just contact them via chat and it should be sorted in a few minutes.

New on arrived. Packed properly this time. Outerbox was mostly fine, minor smudge but fine for me.

Inside was trashed. Plastic was broken (like my FFXV UCE), steelbook has dents in it, Trico whiskers - 2 were bent and dangerously on the edge of snapping off.

I'm not that pleased, obviously. Another replacement. Just gonna get the standard edition in the meantime to bloody play.

I'm just going to return for a refund. The statue is ok but nothing overly special at this point. As usual, I'd be better off waiting for Kotobukiya or something to make a dedicated statue at the same price than get CE statues (only made the exception this time because of the years wait for TLG ha!) Usually I avoid statue/figurine editions unless they're made by reputable manufacturers e.g. DB and Naruto bundle with existing models so I can trust that. Lesson learned, hopefully.

Still, great customer service from Amazon as always. Others could learn a lot from them.
 
GAME.co.uk just cancelled my order out of nowhere with no reasoning whatsoever. It was supposed to be a family gift for christmas :(

Also just got done talking to an Amazon rep about a refund. They kept dangling partial credit in front of me. First £3, then £7 then £10. They wouldn't let me keep one and just get another replacement so I just went with a full refund.

I realise legally they're not honour bound to give you anything other then a replacement or refund but given the stories I've read about this kind of thing before I thought they would at least entertain the idea of keeping the original item as well as getting a replacement but nope. I found the credit kind of insulting in all honesty. If this was more limited I would of been fucked. Never ordering a collectors from them again.

It honestly depends on whatever customer rep you get, some of them straight up can't be bothered where others will go out of their way to help you. Usually they will offer a 20% discount in my experience, I've even been offered the 20% discount for something that was straight up non functioning so I politely declined.
 
I rang up this morning. And am getting a replacement tomorrow. (crosses everything that'll it will be actually be packaged correctly this time)

Quick question for those in the same situation, on the shipping label that's on your CE (that you sent back) did you use a pen to scribble out you the address and what have you, or left it how it was.

I got the Amazon shipping label off with a damp warm sponge, going to test a little acetone on the remains of the label, but it's pretty much all gone. The insides were perfect and the statue is really well painted, so I'm keeping it.

I went to pick mine up from a GAME store today and my friend wanted to upgrade her special edition pre-order to a collector's edition - apparently the manager told her that online orders were being cancelled sporadically due to lack of supply. :/
 
So I should consider myself lucky that GAME sent my CE. I have yet to get it but it has been dispatched. Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday.
 
Disgraceful from Amazon UK.

They clearly have some issues with some of their warehouses. I had to return multiple Galaxy S6 cases because they were scratched to fuck in economic packaging. I told them there was obviously a storage issue and got a prestine one first time from another company.

yep! kinda glad I cancelled my online order and decided to pre order in store, but it absolutely sucks for those who have it cancelled on them :(

It got that dirty scuffs on it. i'm not gonna complain, just going to try to wipe it down.

Any tips. ?

Lightly damp, warm sponge. Be gentle and the smudges on the gloss should clean off. Get it open though and check your statue :)
 
I'm getting mine tomorrow from amazon.Uk. I'm crossing my fingers there are no amazon labels on the beautiful white box and everything inside is intact.
 
Just opened mine. It shipped in a medium shipping box with another item from Amazon US. The outer box, steel book, stickers, and art book are all perfect. The only flaw is that one of Trico's whiskers is bent. I fixed it by bending the other way, but it's not perfect. I'm very happy with this CE And I can't wait to start playing.
 
I just got mine from amazon.uk and the outerbox is in a very bad condition.The box is dirty,beat up,has a tape around it,and 3 label stickers on it (one from amazon and 2 from the courier service.)

As for the inside thankfully everything looks ok except that on one side of Trico's face it has 2 whiskers instead of 3 that it has on the other side.Is that normal?How many whiskers should it have? Six or five?

Anyway i am extremely disappointed by amazon.uk. I will never again order a CE from them.
