Every time they show off the game, every time, it just feels like I end up going "that's it?"

STILL waiting for something substantial.

The problem is in they are showing stuff, but nothing they are showing is exciting. I'm not saying they need a huge marketing push, just don't show the thing at all.

We have E3's where it's basically them showing concept art, the PS Pro trailer which has to be one of the most boring clips to show imaginable, and some CG trailers.

It's just really really bad marketing and as someone else put it basically giving your fanbase constant blue balls with no payoff. It would have been much better for them to just hold off entirely on showing anything if they were going to wait for a last second real reveal.

Great trailer.......but where's the gameplay BW?

I'm sure Mike Gamble or Flynndogg said they were going to have gameplay today: also Mac Walters said we'd find out who that girl on the moon is, I still don't know who the girl on the moon is.....is it possible there will be multiple trailers today?

Moon girl, who are you: are you SisRyder? are you a not SisRyder?

So many questions still lol.
 
Gross MP booster packs for pre-orders, but EA gonna EA etc.

As an SP only player, I couldn't give less fucks. I just wanted to see some of the actual game :(
 
Man, Bioware's playing this like XCOM 2's publicity campaign... only XCOM 2 got announced out of nowhere before E3, only had about a week before actual gameplay footage appeared, and then blitzed the con circuit until release, showing off the different layers at each event. ME:A has been known about for years, has had nothing but trailers, and doesn't have any major cons to go to for buzz building. They honestly should've shown some gameplay, even if it was all multiplayer, at this point.

It is still not even 9:30 on the west coast. It appears like it's been a bit of a slow burn this morning. Let's see what the next few hours hold. It is "N7 Day" and not "N7 Hour" haha
 
So from what I read in that Game Informer article is that your sibling (Scott or Sarah Ryder) doesn't die and actually exists throughout the game with you? Pretty cool. Glad they aren't doing the cliche kill off the gender you didn't pick card.

Most games with multiplayer components usually get some sort of boost for pre-ordering so i don't see the problem. Especially if you could give less fucks about the multiplayer.

ME:3 multiplayer had no business being as good as it was. It was tragically underappreciated. The ME Co-op faithful rejoiced when they heard that mulitplayer would return.
 
Yeah hopefully there is more, and if so I'll forgive them lol.

But if we really end up with just that cinematic today I'm still ultra confused by this strategy

I put more hours into the ME3 multiplayer than i did the single player.
 
I really don't know what to think of that trailer. It gives no indication of any real sort of interactivity with other races, or even anything other than just action. It sort of makes it feel like a generic survival game with evil aliens, rather than anything with a similar scale and sense of wonder that the previous games had with the other races and such. That (and even the generic 'epic' music that i don't think really fits Mass Effect) give me doubts about it, but maybe it'll be better when they show more.
 
I was hoping to get the Collectors Edition but thats way too expensive even though I was expecting something around the 100€ mark.
Guess Ill go with the "SuperDeluxe" Edition.
 
As feared looks like EA wants a highly MP focused game since it can make more money (especially since the packs and boosts etc are basically 100% margin versus say a new story DLC that costs a lot of money to make)

Shame we couldnt have an independent bioware with the original doctors at the helm, and casey hudson and christina norman (gameplay desiger)
 
In relation to gameplay, you were all sold a dream lol.

Shinobi, why couldn't you warn peeps not to get hyped for backwards compatibility and a CGI trailer that asks everyone to wait some more?!

This is all they needed to do just like Blizzcon was good. They will start releasing more info in the next 2 months leading up to release.

Nothing wrong with the stuff they did today.

It's not bad marketing, There's nothing wrong with not really showing anything until a few months before the game is being released.
