I think the most interesting thing we learned is that the Andromeda Initiative is NOT related to the Reaper threat at all.

If you look at the BroRyder version of the GameInformer cover, it looks like they were the whole time.
There's been three trailers to my knowledge. One of them has Sarah and two have Scott although, one of them is the 4k demo.

It's not just the trailers though. Look everywhere. You see Scott and not Sarah most of the time. Was it ever actually said that Sarah would be the default or did GAF mislead me into believing so...? Because that has certainly fueled my disappointment.

A few people have been hinting at an early 2017 or march 2017 release (which now looks like a June release).
There have also been hints that lots of info is to come in November/December. But it hasn't materialized. Maybe they overestimated our interest in the lore that the "initiative" will explore.
I really just want to see game systems. Guess I'll have to wait until really close to release.

God I hope it's near identical to ME3's MP and as distanced from everything else out there, including DA:I's MP.
Do I see grainy screenshots? People will be glad to see it back.
Also that bottom right skybox reminds me a lot of one from ME1.
But we're like just 8 days into November...?
I'm hearing internet rumours stating Mar 21st because that's the release date of the artbook or something...

Are they just the default names? The GI article made it seem like those first names are set in stone. I'd be disappointed if you couldn't change Ryder's first name...

One of the main ME producers has "Hello, my name is _______ Ryder" as their pinned tweet, so I imagine they can be changed.
Liked the trailer, though i'll echo others in saying I wish it had a little more substance.
Mad that Mass Effect gets BC for XBOX One, I have a PS4 and would LOVE to go through all three games again but can't do so.
Also, who the heck cares what version of Ryder they use? Does it really matter that much, LOL. You can play as either, who cares who is featured in a trailer.

This is the single biggest worry I have for the game as of ~1 hour ago.
Why are we sending thousands to their possible doom on an intergalactic voyage if not to escape the Reaper invasion, is it just 'Yay, Exploration!'.
Please tell me it's not 'Yay Exploration!'.
If it's a fight for humanities survival, surely the Reaper threat must be involved somewhere.....sigh, please don't Space Magic this away Mac :/

'Yay Exploration' is the entire premise of Star Trek as a series. I'm cool with it.

Again, it's not just trailers. It's obvious that they've defaulted to Scott and not Sarah. It's Scott on the site, in the screenshots and on the game box covers. Curse whoever it was who planted the idea that Sarah could actually be the default.

Yeah, for some reason people read this as saying female was default.
That's also the same armor the Alec wears, which is why it's confusing.
