I keep getting Error 8... something, all the time (for the past 15 minutes). I can't go out and when I open my gate, my game crashes shortly after. What's the problem?

My wireless connection's gone haywire lately. None of my ethernet bridges connect fast anymore, only my PowerBook's airport extreme card. I wonder if my router is dying.
 
Well I finally got connected. I think deleting my current settings, establishing a new one, setting up my previous settings and then a test connection do the trick.

Open for anyone willing to open! :D
 
CVXFREAK had come and gone from my town, and I was sitting around with the gate open, when I heard a strange noise. Well, it was a pretty normal simple "selection" kind of noise, just not one I'd heard in Animal Crossing. Figuring that meant something, I found that I'd just gained a "Teh Tri-Force!" constellation.

Any other of the non-visit online things like that accompanied with a sound or other indicator? Blanca has always just been walking around unexpectedly without any special notification as far as I've seen.

Is the string fish a large fish? What's the shadow look like? I'm a scare and catch kinda guy.

So I bought some paper, wrote a letter.....How do I send it? I did Nooks mail job, but the civic gal doesnt give me the option to mail the letter (that is adressed and written in my inventory). Can you only mail certain types of paper?

You should be able to hand deliver the note if you cant post it. The postal area is on the right, the civic one is on the left.

You recieve new mail every morning, so dont expect anyone to recieve or you to recieve mail until the morning following the posting.

You mean bait for the fishing rod? i dont think there is any. You just have to wait until that red thing on the rod gets pulled underwater and then quicking grab the fish.

A little girl was lost in my town, and she wanted me to take her home to a friend's town over wifi. The friend never logged on, however, so I tried taking her to another town and she disappeared. I'm guessing I missed an opportunity for a nice prize if I had returned her to the correct town?

Been doing any time travel cheating? If so, that's the punishment. :) In a normal day very few weeds should grow, but if you mess around with the clock you become infested with them.

My DS time was a year off so I adjusted it. :(

But I put it back to normal and the lovely weeds are still there AND the animals are all confused. :D

Anyone wanna play now? I just go the house expansion and I need a fruit other than pear. I need mega bucks and plus I want to learn about some stuff to do.

I got this yesterday. I got "fired" from Nooks and I'm free to do whatever I want now. I don't really know how to make very much money, other than by selling pears. I wrote letters to two different people in my town, but they haven't responded yet, even though it's been a day. Fishing is hard. Tips?

There isn't too much to do right now, since there aren't very many people in the town and I have no money.

The first few days are pretty slow, when you only have your town's native fruit, don't have many villagers, and haven't had a chance to purchase all the tools yet. Other than picking up some stuff from other towns online, there's not a lot you can do about it. The only real renewable source of income (that doesn't take days to grow) is selling seashells. Once you get other types of fruit (online, or gifts from animals in your town) making money is quite a bit easier, since they'll sell for 5 times as much as your native fruit.

I was late for work this morning because:
a) some trees I had planted had fruit! (apples ftw) HARVEST TIME... fruit mafia will never die
b) I was on a roll catching fish (octopus, carp, and another one I don't remember)
c) spent the rest of the time trying to find out which animal had asked me for some apples (couldn't find it)
d) bought that (sars - avian flu) mask
e) coconut tree died :(

I searched my recycling bin today and found a "Throne," among other furniture pieces. I plopped it down in my house for a bit, thought it looked semi cool, and decided to sell it. I took it to Tom Nook.

He offered me 200,000 BELLS. On top of that, it can't be ordered from the catalog! I put it up for sale on Gamefaqs for 500k, figuring that since Nook buys items for 1/4 their normal price, it's "worth" 800k. Not to mention that you can't buy it, so it's even harder to find. Nobody has taken me up on the offer yet, though one kid wants me to let him pay me off over the next week or so, which I'm considering!

Since most items ARE orderable from the catalog, I think we should have a "holding party" sometime soon. Four of us could each order all the coolest items in our catalogs, bring them all to one meeting spot, and drop them all so the other three players can hold them. That way we'd all get a bunch of great items in our catalogs at once. And speaking of great items, have you guys seen the Metroid yet?
