The Official Animal Crossing: Wild World Thread

Hmm, I had my DS plugged into a power outlet in sleep mode for about 5 hours, but when I opened it up I met Resetti and lost all my progress. Does the game just reset after a certain amount of time? The DS is still fully charged too.

Did you leave a gate open, so someone could've entered the town and then had connection problems resulting in a reset? Other than that I don't know why that'd happen.
 
Haven't opened the gates yet (just started 2 days ago) but I do have Wi-Fi setup so it could be it. Guess I'll just be more conscientious about saving.
 
There's a little kitten or something that is crying and has lost her Mom. I tried taking her to the gate, but I have no idea what to do with her.

I bought a jackhammer at Nookway, thinking that I'd be able to break up the rock infront of my house or something, but it appears to just be an item to put in your house :(
Bye bye 1800 bells. I tried to sell it back to Nook, but he'd only give me 478 bells for it, so I just gave it to Rocco. He seems like a manly man.

The peaches I planted have grown into peach trees, so I took the peaches and planted them as well. Soon I'll be rolling in the dough. :)
 
I've had that little kitten lost in my town twice now, she said that she had wandered into my town from my girlfriends town and so I had to connect DS to DS to take her back to her Mum. The first time I did this I think I got a thankyou letter (not sure about a present) and then it happened again a couple of days ago and they sent me a thankyou letter with a present attached (a framed photo of the two of them).

I think you have to finish up your jobs with Tom Nook, which doesn't take more than 20-30 minutes at the very most.

From an earlier page... Please people, add me and then PM me your info! I only have 4 people added right now, but almost anytime I play I leave my town open so the more people I can add the better!

Is anyone open right now? My Nook's is closed for remodeling and I really would love to find an open one! If you let me come by, I will bring gifts!!! :)

Got room for one more? Been tired of walking around in my own town talking to the same animals. I can bring you some apples or oranges if you like (perhaps a peach, if they start growing).

Nah, if you don't explicitly tell Copper that you want to invite people to town or leave for another town, that shouldn't be the problem.

Any advice on making good snowmen? I suck at it. They looked pretty good to me, but the snowmen just whine. Maybe they're all just the snowman equivalent of depressed LJ people? Now I've just resorted to doing things like heads the same size as the bodies so at least they REALLY have something to complain about.

Apparently, a good snowmen is made out of a max snowball body and a max-1 lvl head. However, I always failed as to date...
 
can someone please explain how to connect to a friend in animal crossing
me and my friend has already exchanged our codes but still cant connect.
can it be that we live in sweden?

i am a poor speller in english so be gentel with me.
 
- Both of you enter each other's codes in the friendslist (icon at the top right, then the heart-icon, 'register', 'use code', enter the number & name & town)
- The host (he who shall be visited by the other) must go the the arch at the far 'top' of your town, talk to the guy on the right and choose 'invite guests'. He'll ask you whether you want to invite through DS-to-DS or NWC. Choose NWC. The doors will be opened.
- The visitor must also go the his arch and talk to the guy on the right. However, the visitor will have to choose for 'I want to go out' (or something similar). He'll then get a list of all open towns from his friends. If correct, you're in the list and he can enter your town.

By the way, isn't this in your manual too? :-/

I do suck at making those damn snowmen... but I just feel like causing some havok sometimes. Like stealing people's furniture... and stuff. *cries*

Yes, I do have the GC version and yes, I did play it a lot. (loved it)
 
wow, that was fun!

finally, after having to manually config everything on the router and ds, it worked like a charm...
