I just got my department store and latest house upgrade.
My loan is now 398,000 bells :'(

I love the snowy months for fossil collection. It's impossible to see the cracks during the plain weather since they always end up on the leafy areas. Fossil collection coming along nicely now. I guess I have to wait for summer to beef up the insect collection now.

Got a veritable pear orchard going and expanding my apple orchard now. This is easily one of the best ways to make money in the game... unless you have time to play it 24/7 and catch a boatload of fish.

This seems a decent place to point out that due to my current work/sleep schedule, I'm most likely to be doing anything Animal Crossing online at midnight-5AM EST, and less likely from 11AM-2PM.

I'm loving the way that even without visiting other people's towns, on breaks at work I can still be surprised by online things like some random person's Blanca face. The one I got today was actually pretty decent... of course, I modified it with a checkerboard pattern that looks nasty with DS's lack of texture filtering and listed my inspiration as "OMG MY EYES!"
 
Man, its getting tough to resist this game.

Of course, the question remains... buy this for 40 bucks, or spend $15 to go back to World of Warcraft for a month? (Which I've been looking forward to doing now that school is out)

Hmmm... I might just do both. I'm doing some travelling, so it'd be nice to have AC on the plane.

There's a really weird looking guy named Dr. Shrunk who comes into town occasionally. If you talk to him, he'll give you a survey and eventually put a new emotion icon above your keyboard. I learned how to express shyness the other day.

I was wondering about this too. Seems like it does reset.
I'm at work can't wait to get home and see the upgrade to my house.

Also it seems like nintendowifi.com actually updates your playing info now. Not exactly the most detailed info but cool none-the-less.

You learn how when a visitor comes to your town. A dude on my friend's list used the emotions from day one. Of course I wanted that ability, but alas, I haven't run into this mystery character yet.

He comes on the four days that the other NPCs don't come. but only has a 1 in 10 chance though. So he's tough!

I did it the other day, and ended up catching 3 Tuna and 2 Stringfish the same day. I dunno if it was just coincidence or if it boosts your luck, but I haven't caught a single Stringfish since then.

Yeah, totally.. That's one of my biggest gripes with the game so far. Being able to type out about 1/3 of a sentence at a time is just ridiculous, as is the jarring/abrupt way that it cuts you off if you go over. Hate it! And I hate having to write "h8" to make better use of my space! :(

So all you d00ds are enjoying the game so far? I can't decide if I want to pick it up or not... I enjoyed AC on GC initially but found it to get old fairly quick. The online aspect of this one is the main thing that is enticing me.. is it interesting enough to warrant picking up the game or is it already starting to get old for you guys who are playing online consistently? :o
