No, I have all the house expansions, and tables set in every room. I buy all my turnips on sunday then store them on the tables for the week. I have 6 tables per room (30 total- main, 3 sides, and second floor) with 400 turnips per table. I usually hang at Gamefaqs waiting for someone to post a high selling price, but Razor doesn't charge 200k per trip liek the gayfaqers.

Edit: Plus I have a 2 other friends that I've sold turnips for. :)

I spent around 250k myself for 104. so around 2400 turnips XD I pray for another good deal as well. Gotta pay the mortgage! Good tip to anyone that does provide said deal of course.

Some do. I got into an early one last week at 409 bells with no charge.

Of course, if you're bringing a lot of turnips then 100k isn't too much. Right now I've got about 300,000 in turnips at 96 each. At 600 a turnip, I'd bring back 1.8 million, so 100k isn't too bad.
 
I slept in and missed Joan on Sunday. :( Now my only hope is that I get a good turnip price this week again so I can bank on tips.

I only bought 4000 turnips this week at 90bells per, but I'm sure there could be a good tip in it for you if you work your magic again. :lol You've helped make me a multi-millionaire.

Also, I feel the need to say that in my drastic relandscaping, I'm so surprised to find that certain spots just won't let a tree grow.
I try 3 days in a row, and nothing happens.
Oh well. I still plan on having a massive organized forest.

That's right. Some spots conflict with a pre-set villager walking path, so they can never grow a tree.

A million for the crown or for the golden slingshot?

The guy offered 3 royal crowns (yea, he's a major time traveler) in the end, but I turned him down for now. I need to have the golden slingshot to shoot down Gulliver and maybe ever get a Metroid. So, how would I get the golden slingshot again?

Ok, dunno why but I've been having trouble getting into BUNNZ town. I can't remember if this particular user is a Gaffer or from somewhere else. But each time I've tried to connect (over the past two weeks) I get an error. Tried to connect last night with another user and it went off just fine.

A million for the Golden Slingshot itself, but 3 royal crowns are a lot. :lol

And apparently, another Golden Slingshot will appear after 3-4 presents or so once you don't have it anymore.
 
Added Krypt0nian, kiryogi, Drensch, and SpeedRazor. I have every type of fruit, although most are regrowing right now since I harvested a few days ago. Have some fresh oranges, pears and cherries though!

Nice guide. You don't need 3 holes around the character for the money rock, btw. Then you won't be able to get another bag because it can't land on the space with the hole.

I just do two holes behind my character and put him between the two holes, turn around and face the rock, then hit it. (One rock + one tree works too.) Doing that makes every space except one around the rock have a money bag, making for 7: 100 bells, 200 bells, 400 bells, 800 bells, 1000 bells, 2000 bells, 8000 bells. I don't think you can do that with 3 holes around you, but maybe I'm wrong.

Pretty good guide... Couple things:

* Technically, it's the turnip 'stalk market'.

* You definitely only need two holes, and neither needs to be in the 9 squares around the rock. As long as you wedge yourself in there so that you back up into the holes, you'll get all 8,500 bells.

* In your fruit tree planting section, you say something about making a sure-fire money-making tree. This can be confusing since money trees are also in the game, even though I think they're just a big money sink (not worth the effort).

* Technically, it's an exploit, but you may want to consider the tip about turnips on tables. Yes, it ruins the fun of the game to have all the money in the world within 3 weeks, but it is a strategy, alebit a sketchy one.

First dump tools on the ground, then drop the turnips and they will end up on the table. It sounds a bit weird, but it does work. And I think they do spoil when you TT even when the turnips are on a table, but I'm not sure about that.

walk next to the table, drop a fishing pole or net (a tool) on the floor in front of the table. Then drop the turnips, and they'll go on the table instead of the floor.

I've only skipped ahead, but not backwards, and they didn't spoil.

You must have something else in front of the table like a fishing rod, shovel, etc. That will force the turnips on the table since there is no room on the floor.

And I have no idea about time traveling.

Yup, you get it by starting a trade process with the red turnip. Sigh, joan didnt have any red turnips on sunday and I messed up both of my red ones from the weeks before. ARGH.

edit: oh and I like the 2nd way more.
