It´s there. Look in the editor for the menu point "advanced sliders". If you login to EA Sports World, you can upload your pictures there and link it to your PSN profile - you don´t need a USB Cam/PSEye at all for this feature.Mdk7 said:Just bought the game, FN3 is one of my favorite experiences of this generation.
I was trying to create a boxer (i have no PS3 Camera...) but save for the 87 template faces i did not find an editor to change facial features like nose height, chin size and so on...
Please tell me it's still in there, if they removed that part it's pretty much a FAIL. :/
Totally agreed.HMC said:After 60 or so bouts on WC mode, I've only encountered maybe 5 "boxers" total. Everyone else spams something...constant haymakers, feathering the block, spamming uppers and body hooks, or spamming the sway. Most of that shit is easy to counter, but the vast majority of online fighters have clearly never witnessed the actual sport, lol.
Strategic matches are just magnificent, though. If they nerfed the headbutt, this game would be nearly perfect.

I K.O.'d a much bigger and tougher Jake Lamotta.
R.I.P.

kamspy said:Has anyone ever KO'd someone on their first knockdown in the early early rounds?
I'm starting to think it's not possible.
Easy. In the settings, cut the match down to a very short single round and go for a decision win. It might take you a few tries, but since it's a short (1 minute) round, it's no big deal to keep going for it.MrPliskin said:Man, I'm trying to take down Ali / Tyson on G.O.A.T. and it's so damn hard! Class_A_Ninja said:I know people want the buttons, but why cave in in september and change the stance that "That's the way it plays" now.
I'm sure there are very few people who were actually "alienated" by the lack of button support (most of them are probably in this thread). The vast majority of the people who wanted to buy the game have already bought it.MC Safety said:Because it's stupid to have removed a control scheme, and because if you alienate your potential clients, you'd better have a better reason than "that's the way it plays now."

It's been said before, but this is a really bad idea, since it will cut into the total number of possible online opponents. Since they're not adding button support until September, those numbers will already have tapered off a bunch since the game's launch. Just seems like a bad idea, even if you're one of the handful of people who wants button support. It will kill the online numbers.
This really sounds like something the developers of the game took a respectably firm stance on, and they've now been pressured by EA's higher ups to patch this in. Dumb.
Probably because this is the one sports game they do very, very well!MC Safety said:It's dumb that people are defending EA, when the company has a history of paring down features and modes from its sports games. Not once have I heard anyone claim this was a good thing anywhere else but in Fight Night.
I don't thi.k it was a mistake. The sticks are far superior to buttons when it comes to conveying the feel of the game. I think they did the right thing from the start, and adding in button control is a mistake.MC Safety said:It's dumb that people are defending EA, when the company has a history of paring down features and modes from its sports games. Anyway, the noble stand has come to an end, and it's good to see EA rectifying its mistake.

This isn't like LAIR, the game is completely playable to anyone with 5 minutes on their hands.

You have to win it from the person who has it.BeeDog said:What does it take to earn the belt?

Yea, I have zero interest in those trophies. I wonder what happens if the champ stops playing?BeeDog said:So essentially it's impossible to earn those trophies? Got it. :/

I hope they give us a patch which adds to the difficulty because at the moment I am finding it a bit too easy.

I totally must've missed that option in the career mode (which has a pretty confusing menu navigation, imo).
Aside from that, love the game. Some animations still look a bit stiff, but the interaction (punches hitting the guard, gliding off, whiffing air, leaning on and into each other...) between the two models on the screen is pretty much unparalleled in gaming, imo.
PS3 version, but I want to sink my teeth into the career mode before I go online first.BeeDog said:What version do you have? I'd probably be up for some FNR4 games on the PS3, if you'd like that is.
Musashi Wins! said:When is the PS3 patch out? It has more sliders, which I'm excited for. I love this game.
What does this mean for PS3 gamers?
We have determined that it would be optimal for PS3 users to not encounter this issue, so we will be combining this first update with our scheduled second update slated for early September. We understand that means that the issues some users are experiencing that we planned to have fixed with the first update will still be present, though the fixes with this first update along with the fix with this new issue and improvements with the second update will be available at that time.
