The Inside Track
Christmas gifts are done for me in France (some regions here give the gifts on christmas eve night). Got a PStwo and Return of the King SE.
Must be the first time in my life I "only" get 2 gifts, but they are good ones :)

the familly present thing has just finishged, we have a friends gathering tomoroz.
i got.
tenchu/ rurouni kenshin pack. Shirts, Donny Darko SE, Alice in chains greatest hits, Muse cd, burnout 1 for the gc, heaps of drawing tools, a manga book, snakes n ladders shots game :) my 18th is in 5 days now :)

I think I got like 3 pairs of nice tight jeans, some cds off my random list of music I cry to that I gave the family, bunch of the McFarlane NFL Chiefs figures for my desk, a couple of those World of Warcraft prepaid cards, Napoleon Dynamite, a best buy gift card for Anchorman on Tuesday, and like 5 band tshirts. Anything else is a mystery. My family usually just shops together so we know we're getting each other what they want. None of that returning shit on the Monday after. We leave a few mystery presents in there so there is a little suprise involved. I like it this way.

I got my parents a Tivo, and my little brother some PS2 games. That's about it from me.

I got Return of the King: Extended Edition DVD, Princess Mononoke, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Ministry of Sound: The 2005 Annual and a vibrator... I mean electric toothbrush!
presents.jpg

The Office DVD set isn't actually mine, but was a present from one of my sisters to our dad. However I'll be getting just as much, if not more, enjoyment from it than him. Yes, there are two of The 2005 Annual music CD. I'll be trading the sealed one at JB HiFi for another music CD or DVD.

And no games! My family never buys games for me because they don't like to encourage it considering how much i play them. It's probably for the best since i already have a small backlog which is slowly growing.

Oh yeah and I almost forgot the awesome family christmas present which we got the other week. An awesome surround sound system with a huge 10 inch 200 watt subwoofer O_O

At this point its already the 25th in Australia, but Christmas presents in our family are handed out late upon Christmas Eve.
I received a Harmonica. Among other things which fall into the categories of clothing, money and chocolate. All of the finest quality... I'm happy I'd say.

My penis is still intact.
As far as I can tell, clothes. That's what it feels like anyway, unless someone cleverly hid a DVD inside a t shirt or something. Sigh.

Oh well, I suppose they could be good clothes. And I'll be able to play with them...all...day...

All I know that I'm getting so far is a Vancouver Canucks blanket from my brother, because I saw it when I went into his room looking for a DVD last week, and there's this mysteriously soft, blanket shaped gift under the tree from him to me.

So far:

From my girlfriend:
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED vol. 4 DVD
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED vol. 5 DVD
Katamari Damacy Original Soundtrack

Aunts and Uncles:
$35 Bon-Macy's giftcard
$50 Best Buy giftcard

Grandparents:
$50 Arco gas giftcard
Black Isotoner gloves

Parents:
Black Claiborne blazer (got it last week)
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Limited Edition DVD boxset (still under the tree, but I know what it is)

More to come tomorrow, if anyone actually cares!

From the time I had to do ride it it rode pretty well. I never really got a chance to get on it I'll do that in May.

Frame sliders are next on the list.

follow up post here. finally got around to enjoying some of my presents.

first of all.... princess mononoke is a beautiful film to watch. one of the best animes i've ever seen. I rate it above Spirited Away. Has me pumped for Laputa when I trade in the duplicate present :)

Ministry of Sound: The 2005 Annual is a pretty good CD. There's two discs and the first is easily the better of the two. I'd give some specific songs that I really like, but if I started that I'd end up listing the whole track listing.

I watched some of the extras from TG,TB,aTU which had some interesting bits of info ( :lol at lack of work place health and safety and
the bridge being blown up when no cameras were rolling
). There's a doco on the civil war I still need to watch. I'll get around to watching the actual movie sometime next week. I'm pumped to watch it after finishing The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah and soon to begin on the final book, The Dark Tower VII (the "constant reader" will understand).

No time to watch RotK:EE today. I really want to watch FotR:EE and TTT:EE before I watch RotK:EE, which is going to require an entire day (12 hours), and that's not mentioning the appendices which have been a great watch in the previous two movies.

Oh yeah, and the electric toothbrush does a great job. :D

edit:
1563890119.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

have you read American Gods? I picked that up from the library a while back but never got around to reading it because I really wanted to finish my quest for the elusive dark tower. What's Gaiman's style of writing like?

Some of you have gotten more (and better) stuff this Christmas than I've got the last 10 years put together.

I'm not jealous though, 'cos I have this bauble! Hah!

Seriously.

Damn it! I didn't get the Looney Tunes Collection Volume 2! Oh well, something to buy for myself after the holidays. :)

Edit:

Dude, that's over 40 DVDs. how did that work out?

About the same as last year. I'm a really big DVD fanatic, oops excuse me, aficionado. Plus, I have really nice brothers and a sister who have a lot of money and are into the same things I'm into.

Um nothing much really:

Probably net about 175-200 from all my relatives.
TV Tuner for when I move out in August instead of buying a tv (my monitor is 22" anyways)
Hand-held texas holdem thing
Santa vs The Snowman 3d movie
Hershey's 12 days of Christmas Chocolate
4 shirts from Threadless.com
Socks from "my dog"... b/c he eats all of mine
About 75 bucks in giftcards to Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Chili's, and Outback

and that's about it? Eh.. I didn't ask for anything really except the TV Tuner so good enough Xmas for me. My mom loved loved the custom puppy calendar we made for her with our new puppy pics :)

Eternal Sunshine isn't a comedy dammit! Fucking critics.

On an unrelated note, I think we should rename ourselves to DVD-Age.
