IMO, if there's anything that will be announced at E3, and released this year, it's almost assuredly:
- established IP sequel ( rumoured LBP3 from Sumo Digital)
Huh? Where did this rumor come from?
IMO, expecting any of the new IP trademarks to be announced at E3 for a 2014 release would be stretching it. From my memory, any large-scale new AAA IP from Sony has always had at least a year of time from reveal-to-retail.
Gran Turmiso 6 broke that rule.
I expect to see these games at E3:
Lily Bergamo - We should see the US release date since It was trademarked in all regions before it was revealed, it's still scheduled for 2014, and we didn't see any gameplay footage yet.
Guilty Gear Xrd- The developers will be at E3 this year and it's scheduled to release in 2014. I think we'll get a new trailer with 1-2 character reveals.
Deep Down- For some reason, this hasn't been officially announced in the US despite the PS4 reveal event and the US trademark. The JP beta is this summer, so we should hear from this.
Uncharted- It's almost 3 years since Uncharted 3 and many of the insiders we heard from confirmed the game to be there.
The Last Guardian- It's time for this game to finally come out. Based on what Sony have been saying lately, I think this will be at E3 and squeeze into the fall 2014 lineup. If the rumor about The Order being delayed is true, this will be RAD more time to make a better game and get rid of most of the disappointment about the delay. TBH, I want this to be the outcome. It's RAD's first console game and it's a new IP. If they need more time to make it a GOTY worthy game and a potential big franchise game, they should get it.
There's others they announced last year that should make it there as well. In terms of game reveals, I think at the minimum, we'll know what Sony Bend, Media Molecule, Japan Studio, and possibly SCE Londons are working on. I'd be surprise if the Killstrain, Bloodborne, and Entwined trademarks aren't Sony Bend, Japan Studios, and Media Molecule games.
