Well what the hell kind of stats are they using to calculate this "crunch-time" rating, then? :lol

Well what the hell kind of stats are they using to calculate this "crunch-time" rating, then? :lol

(PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK) - ((FGA - FGM) + (FTA - FTM) + TO) + 4 points if their team wins

A formula has been created to measure the top Nestle Crunch Time players, and the formula kicks in when Crunch Time kicks in -- the last two minutes and all overtime periods.

Ah, last two minutes plus overtimes. I see. Yeah, last two minutes of a game is more clutch than measuring the entire fourth quarter, so I think Konex has to concede this one. :D I'd like if they extended itto 3 or 4 minutes, though.

With players demanding big paydays for competing in the dunk contest - LeBron James wanted a cool million to participate - no wonder the league is still scurrying to find contestants with All-Star weekend only two weeks away.

Wow, is this for real? :lol

In the past couple years, the in-game dunks have felt more impressive than the dunk contest ones. I know Josh Smith said he dunks better in game without thinking about it.

New PRs:

1 (1) Spurs 38-10
This will be Pop's first All-Star game, but this is far more important: Pop and Larry Brown are the only active coaches with a championship ring now that Rudy T. has resigned.

2 (2) Suns 38-11
Knowing Nash, whether or not he gets to start in place of an injured Kobe, he's seriously bummed that D'Antoni won't get to return to Denver as the West's coach.

3 (3) SuperSonics 32-13
Sonics have to hold firm up here, with a fat division lead and a 7-2 record vs. Spurs, Suns, Kings, Mavs and Heat.

4 (5) Heat 35-14
Shaq can make all the jokes he wants about Don Nelson being 'the Jack Haley of his era,' but the irony is this: Heat can only dream it had a sixth man as reliable as Nellie was.

5 (6) Mavericks 31-15
Nellie returns Tuesday vs. Chicago after Avery's splash as a fill-in, and here's his first task -- Dallas must improve on its dismal 1-5 record vs. Spurs, Suns, Sonics and Kings.

6 (4) Kings 32-15
First it was Brad Miller, and now Bibby is trying to make West coaches take notice of how he's carrying injury-ravaged Kings.

7 (11) Rockets 28-21
The only team this season besides Seattle to beat San Antonio twice just completed a 4-0 week, with three of those victories on the road. Looks like they're getting it.

8 (7) Grizzlies 27-21
Furious George is getting all the fresh pub, but don't sleep on Czar Fratello, who was 22-28 in his Cleveland farewell (lockout season of '99) . . . and who's 22-10 with Grizz.

9 (8) Pistons 28-19
Whine all you want to, Detroiters, but you have some nerve complaining about All-Star support here given the committee's leniacy so far, at just a half-game ahead of Wiz.

10 (10) Cavaliers 27-19
So, East coaches, tell us: Do you regret leaving LeBron off last February's All-Star roster yet?

11 (13) Wizards 27-19
You want weird? Since Hughes went down, Washington is actually scoring almost one point more per game (nearly 103 ppg) and shooting the 3 better (up to 37 percent from 34).

12 (12) Magic 25-22
It's safe to say Magic have noticed that, in spite of Boston's recent surge, they'd be in first place by a game and a half if they didn't get relocated to the Southeast.

13 (14) Bulls 22-22
Can't say it better than gritty, gutty Scotty Skiles, who says: 'We're not an 0-9 team, but we're not an 18-4 team, either.' Maybe this month's heavy road schedule will clarify things.

14 (17) Clippers 23-24
San Antonio's seven-game, rodeo-induced road trip is getting all the attention, but Clips are in the midst of a stretch featurning nine in a row on the road.

15 (16) Nuggets 21-26
There's a reason Nuggets will keep getting linked with a possible Payton trade: Andre Miller has only five double-digit assists games all season, zero since Karl took over.

16 (15) Lakers 24-21
Laker players would be wise to let all of us focus on the coaching stuff, because they have 23 roadies left and only 14 games at home. In other words, they need Kobe back ASAP.

LOS ANGELES -- If Karl Malone decides to play again, it probably will be for the San Antonio Spurs, according to Malone and his agent.

Malone will make an announcement about his future before the All-Star break. The All-Star game is Feb. 20 in Denver.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I really, genuinely like the Spurs. Don't sign Malone and make me root against you all year =(

Sadly, it looks like a losing battle for us Malone haters. I understand how he may help the team, but I can't stop hating him. But with Rasho's recent injury, TD starting to get banged up from playing three years non stop and the lack of big man depth, there's no question why the Spurs want him so badly.

But hey, if Pop, RC and Tim think he is the right man to fill that spot(all four went to dinner Saturday night to talk about it), I'll stand behind them. Afterall, I'm a Spurs lover before I'm a Malone hater.

Now if only they could pull off that miraculous rumor trade of Malik Rose for Donyell Marshall. :lol

Not really.

We expected to be fighting for a playoff spot and sneak in at 7 or 8 at best. Instead we're 1/2 game behind the best team in the league, and it's mostly thanks to Nash. This is great beyond words.

Damn, and just now I learn that Tim sprained his ankle in today's practice. Nothing serious, but he will probably be held out of tomorrow's game against the Bobcats. Rasho may be back though and he is a 17, 13 and 3 player when Tim doesn't play. :D

R you kidding me? Richardson will finish last with Joe Johnson. Korver will win it. I think Korver won the College 3 point shootout 2 years ago.

Haha what a Suns Hater. It's about time we had one, I wanna play the "no respect" card more often around here. To be honest I really don't give a shit about this wacky All-Star game shit, 3 point competition and slam dunk are a boring joke.

At least it's better than the Pro Bowl.

You know your team is shit when Tierre Brown is the best offensive (none of them are playing D anyways) player at the half...

Lakers lose to the mighty Hawks, all is well in the world of sports :)

Losing to a 9-win LEASTERN CONFERENCE team is disgusting anyway you look at it. No moral victory here.

Fun fact: Lakers centers combined for 0 pts, 2 boards and 2 TOs. I can't even name the Hawks centers -_-

SAVE US, KOBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aw, I was just fuckin' with ya. See? Can't find a decent Suns Hater here! Guess they are pretty hard to hate overall though since they're so damn fun.

Hey guys, I just got a free Ipod! One of my freinds told me about this site, and I signed up for it, www.spong.com and refered a few freinds and did one of their offers. Then about 3 weeks later (due to a backup at their storage facility), I recieved a FREE IPOD! Unbelievable! You guys got to try this.
