"knock knock" is the best though right?
Yes! I always struggled to remember the name of the tape that I too owned. "Knock, Knock."Knock, Knock was one I had on VHS and watched all the time.
Still a messed up episode and still has my favorite quote "Soon, the whole world will smell just like your socks."
Amazing to see it's written by Babylon 5 creater JMS.
Also, man cartoons moved fast back then (in terms of plot).
Edit: itwasTuesday gets it!
Let me know if it is up in any other regions, I've been updating the OP
OMG what a time to be alive. Amazing show. As a kid a lot of the references went over my head. One of the best cartoons to rewatch as an adult.
Have they ever released an OST for this cartoon?
I want some of the songs.
Extreme Ghostbusters is next hopefully. I love that series so much.

Been on wishlist since 2015. I think it was around $80 when I added it.... or $120 maybe, no where near $376 though.
Shit is obscene
They did back in the day, but I don't think it was ever reissued.

Yeah, I ordered mine for $120 on TimeLife's official website, I'm guessing you can't anymore?
Actually, it's the movies that are fictional adaptations of The Real Ghostbusters:Real to me is live action movies unlike this non-canon blasphemy.

Cool!
Maybe they'll have the awesome 1980's Dungeons & Dragons cartoon eventually too?....

I love the style of this cartoon---the ghosts are definitely Japanese-y though.
The little ending animation looks off next to everything else with them dancing, guess that was quickly thrown together on the American side of things?
I don't see any reason to think that (indeed, I'm pretty sure everything was shipped overseas for animation as was common for 80's cartoons). It's just an awkward movement to portray in animation from that angle.I love the style of this cartoon---the ghosts are definitely Japanese-y though.

There are no arcs, but a couple episodes have sequels or follow-ups. The animation stays pretty consistent throughout the series, but it's no worse (arguably better) than its contemporaries for the time period.I watched a couple episodes of this that were included on the Ghostbusters 1&2 DVD set. The animation quality is pretty painful.
What are the must see episodes and story arcs? Does the animation get better or worse as the series goes on? It seems like most shows either go uphill or downhill.
Knock Knock.Does anyone remember which episode was the one with the ghost trains? I think they even had faces...

I have this new box set, I think it is terrific. A wonderful value. Great news about the show being added to Netflix, too. There is this boxed set:
https://smile.amazon.com/Real-Ghostbusters-01-02-Set/dp/B01EPYJXL8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491098465&sr=8-1&keywords=Real+Ghostbusters
It's around the first half of the series...i suspect now that the next 5 volumes are available, they'll be put into a boxed set as well.
It's nowhere near as cool a package as the Time/Life one...but it's a lot less expensive. The video quality is perfectly watchable.
