Does it make that big of a difference if Krustofski dies? I mean it appears he is one of the most minor characters in the show. I can only remember two episoded in which he played a bigger role and besides that.... not much more.

He is no Dr. Hibbert or Sideshow Bob.

I want them to have the balls to kill off an important character like Krusty. Even though that already happened.

Also, Sideshow Bob's had two fakeout deaths now. I doubt they'd go for a third.

I think they'll actually kill Krusty. Herschel is a red herring.

If not, they better be prepared to severely underwhelm. Not it would be new territory.

I've already answered this riddle in the OP...

CLOWN IN THE DUMPS - Sunday, September 28th @ 8:00pm

Odds that Episode Will be Watchable = OK (I'm willing to be surprised)
Odds that People Will be Disappointed by the Over-Hyped Character Death Reveal = GUARANTEED
Incidentally, this episode review has disclosed that both
Jackie Mason and Kelsey Grammer
have recorded dialogue for this episode.

Got to love fakeout deaths. Last season we had this one...

What the hell did Sherri & Terri's family do to get 2nd row seating? Really?
Ditto for Sideshow Mel. And they got Jessica's hair color wrong. Such laziness. <scoff>

It wasn't even interesting death. I mean I know not all death from tv shows are, but this is from the tv show that killed someone because of t-shirts being shot out of a gun.

When they posted the "one of these characters will die" picture and it was basically the Simpson family and krusty's dad, it was pretty obvious who was going to die. So why is anyone acting like this is some big disappointment? Who cares?

So that wasn't Kelsey Grammer doing Sideshow Bob, was it? Can't imagine they'd get him for such a small part, anyway.
It's always Grammer when they bring Bob back.
And why can't you imagine they'd get him for such a small part? That's been their gimmick lately.
They brought DeVito back for one line.
All of Bart's ex-girlfriends back for a single line.
They've brought Grammer back for one scene before.
They even brought Bieber in for one line.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
It sounds like the altered the pitch of Marge's voice from the preview clip.
Maybe the preview is Kavner's real voice now.

hahahaha you're joking, right?

I assumed it was someone remotely important and saw someone mention it was someone's dad. Plus the description mentioned that Lisa was protecting Homer or something. But
Krusty's Dad
died? Um, okay, sure then.

Was that couch gag by Don Hertzfeldt?

Whoa. Awesome.

That couch gag was the best

What the fuck was the couch gag supposed to be?!

Can someone explain what the hell that gag was supposed to be

That couch gag was as long as it was weird.

That couch gag was amazingly weird.

I am always happy to see more Don Hertzfeldt. It was so awesome.

I didn't laugh once or even crack a smile. Damn.
The juxtaposition between this and the episode in the marathon earlier make this even more apparent.
That couch gag was on point though.

Credits confirm it was Hertzfeldt (who also did voicework in it).

Also, Kelsey Grammer did the one line.
