cr_blah_blah said:holy f'n hell, that part with the 2 angled ramps on Inferno is the most frustrating thing ever in videogames. I can get there in about 1.5 mins/5 faults then spend the next 28.5 mins/495 faults on that part. Pretty much every single time I hit the 2nd angled ramp I bounce or slide off. The few times I get over it I just fall to my death since I don't have enough speed. I've done it at least 10 separate sessions and not even close. The videos make it look so easy!
Darunia said:it's definitely the hardest and most frustrating part of the entire game. I wasted hours on that spot alone. Keep at it. I found that leaderboard vids don't help that much with parts as hard as that, even with the button presses visibile. You'll eventually get it right on your own.
Basically you need to slide down on the first ramp enough so that you can gain enough momentum for your jump. Mid air it's best to keep button presses to a minimum and get a good landing. Then you'll have to half throttle and slide down a bit so you can get enough speed to make it over.

Seriously? I haven't got past these boxes once yet lol.
JRW said:I still haven't been able to pass this section, Not even one time, Any ideas on how to get the bike over this box?
quickwhips said:nocode you really given me some times to beat in this game. I still have beat the last 3 levels. I got to jump back on those levels once I beat shadow complex.
JRW said:Holy crap Ive been struggling to get Gold on the Classic track (Hard) for like 2 days, I can finish it with little to no faults its the time requirement that gets me.. I just got 1:30.517 and the gold requirement is 1:30.00 - Ahhhhh!!
I agree that this might be too hard achievement, fault limit should be reevaluated. (This could be only changed with title update)
FerranMG said:Wow, that sucks!
Once it was 0.006 seconds that kept me from getting a gold medal. :lol
Darunia said:I don't know if this has been posted yet, but on the official forums a RedLynx dev said they might re-evaluate the criteria for the Marathon achievement:

I think the main problem is moderation. Microsoft don't want to have tracks full of cocks or copyrighted material and don't want to pay people to moderate. I'm not sure how that's even possible with the track creator, though I guess people will find a way.POWERSPHERE said:Holy shit, that Indiana Jones level is amazing! When are they going to end the bullshit of having to be friends to download levels? At least have a top 10 so everyone can compete on them?

There's an article about it here.
The issue of hosting the tracks seems bullshit to me. Tracks are a few kilobytes of data maybe? If they can't even host that, what are we paying a gold subscription for?
I agree that they should, at the very least, feature the best maps or something.

MicVlaD said:Think I may have found a bug on Dynamic Range. You can essentially skip a small part of the map right before you have to balance your bike on those metalic spheres, and it seems like an unintentional design quirk. Forward to 0:58 and you'll see what I mean.
Also uploaded my replays for Jolly Jumper (#247) and Rise & Fall (#427).
I've done it... but I wouldn't do it on a faultless run attempt because I've found it unreliable.POWERSPHERE said:Do people ever jump the balls? I've done it a few times but haven't seen anyone else do it, by just bouncing on them with the back tyre.

nocode said:F U C K this gold medal on Goin' up! I just finished it with 7 faults, and had it in my head for some reason that the time to beat for gold was 15 faults, 4:30:00. I crossed at 7 faults, 4:26:866 thinking "Finally!" only to realize that it is a 4 min limit.......... I hate you.
Edit: YES YES YES! Fuck that board, done with it! 10 faults, 3:07:790. All I wanted to do was finish up shadow complex, decided to play a couple of tracks, it's hour later and now I'm too pissed and happy to go to bed.
Well this was the end for me. I had enough trouble getting past the second check point. Finally got by it in only 50 tries and I get here. Ran out of time after about 200 tries. So frustrating. I'll never try it again. Oh well off to make some tracks.JRW said:Extreme Track: Goin' Up!

It's hard to explain that part... but there's a definite trick to it. Basically it's best to start off leaning forward, then as soon as you start accelerating, lean back to pop up the front wheel. As soon as your front wheel gets near the box, lean forward, otherwise the underside of your bike will smack the box and you're going no-where.CitizenCope said:Well this was the end for me. Do you know if one bike is better than another for the job?Psychotext said:I still can't do it any more than 1 time in 5 though. I was playing at my nephew's place and he can do it about half the time he tries.

No that's not how you do it. You need to hold back, and then hold forward so your front tire goes over it, but you will do a bounce, and land on top. And you want to lean back is little as possible, just enough so your front tire will make it over.Psychotext said:It's hard to explain that part... but there's a definite trick to it.
