MMORPGs more like 2002-2009 FFXI with "sadistic," multi-tiered progression with dangers around every corner need to make a come back. The climb to level cap was arduous affairs, but there was a wealth of content to keep people of all backgrounds occupied as they made that climb. This rush to get to level cap so we can enjoy end game content defeats the purpose of having so many levels to begin with.

Witcher 3 is overrated . Its only best part are the story, characters, graphics. The combat is boring, RPG systems are under developed, There are just too much cutscenes that at a point it becomes snoozefest

Witcher 3 which was called "game of generation" is now "overrated", let see how long it will take RDR2 change status from "game of generation" to "overrated".

RDR2 is already over rated... a boring sandbox full of sand and busywork with constant maintenance which make gameplay feel more like a chore, and the payoff in the form of the actual action and other fun things you get to do just isn't worth it. The whole appeal is realism and detail as if any of those matter in a good action based video game...

I meant if you copy the files to the hdd. Also USB has to be specially formated for PS4 and cant be used for pc. PS3 was not like this

Horror is a questionable genre in every artistic medium, honestly. Horror movies and novels largely blow, too. I think it's debatable whether it's even a valid goal for art/entertainment. I don't want to be disturbed or frightened or unhinged. I want to have fun. I can articulate the value I get out of fun games. I can't really articulate the value I'd get out of a horror game. Games can have horror elements in them and be fun (Thief, Metroid, etc.), but games that are laser focused just on scaring the crap out of you are pretty much all trash. It's the difference between something like Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 7. Zero interest in Resident Evil 7. It's like, yeah, I want to play a game with intentionally shitty control where I can't see anything because it's "scary." That isn't a valid goal to me.
7 is generous for that turd. It's barely even a game.
Consoles are basically finished. They've pretty much given up every advantage they had over gaming PCs at this point. Console gaming now has to contend with:
* Variable hardware/variable performance
* Constant patches
* Always online horseshit
It's not plug n' play anymore. That was the whole point of dedicated gaming hardware. If they don't course correct on that shit soon even dummies are going to start to notice and just go with gaming PCs.
Debatable whether this is an unpopular opinion. Maybe on the internet amongst enthusiasts/freaks, but the market has already soundly rejected VR, and it's pretty much dead.

Another console is dead comment. Its been almost 15 years with the same.
Console, with all of the new additions in this generation, it still plug and play.
Example.
You want to play Splinter Cell Conviction, you can on your Xbox, just put the disc, and play.
You want to play on pc, first youre blocked with an error if you´re on win10, you just have to download that ubishit client, make some adjustment, and maybe youre ready to go,
The same goes with other amount of games. Personally im done with PC Gaming, nothing new catched my interest.

Gamers get way too emotionally invested. Like an attack on a game they like is a personal attack against their identity.
That's been the part of gaming communities that I hate the most. When you have idiots trying so hard to "discredit" negative reviews and opinions. They can't just say "I disagree with that opinion" or "those things didn't bother me as much as they bothered the reviewer". Instead they go searching for some flimsy excuse for the review to be invalidated.
This also has the unfortunate effect of showering trolls with the glorious attention they seek.

Over the past two years I traded in or sold my PS4, Xbox One, Vita and 3DS and am down to just my PC and Switch. Gaming is much more enjoyable for me now. No more guilt over not giving systems enough love, no more keeping track of all the big releases for all the different systems. Even if I was just down to the PC I would still never run out of great games to play. Paradox of choice was a very real thing for me.

I use the same external HDD for my PS4 and my PC. I'm currently watching Sasuke (Ninja Warrior) off of it through my PS4. The hdd only needs to be formatted if you are using it as external storage, I believe the PS3 was the same in that sense.

This was a complaint of a guy I knew who had a PS4 and wanted to carry over some video clips and mp3s to the PS4 internal hard drive. Did not ask for further details to see if there was a solution.

i don't think it's "gaming" or even the culture itself, it's the way the internet shapes things. you see this happening everywhere. there was that story about the dress that was black or blue and people were arguing about that.
people will argue about anything so long as they can demonstrate their superiority over others. this is how you get strawmen and stuff, people go around carrying chips on their shoulders, they are constantly "defending" or "shielding" for one thing or another. you can't just like or not like something, you have to explain yourself. add to this: irony, people trolling, people not trolling but being "devil's advocate", people learning English as a second language, etc. no wonder every conversation is a jumble.
tbh it's a shitty an intolerant way to live but it's what the internet currently does when you put any information into it. real tolerance would be people fine with others' opinions and nobody would ever stoop so low as to say someone was "objectively wrong" or trolling. imo this is a new form of dehumanization.

And? You also have to hard drive install on PC. What does that have to do with anything? Consoles you don't have to worry about having good enough hardware to run a game correctly. Just put the game in and you know its going to work without continuously upgrading your system with a new graphics card or installing RAM.

Music files must be inside a Folder called Music. Photos and Videos can be inside any Folder and they work. But they must be inside a folder to be visible to the media player.
