The Walking Dead Season 2 SPOILERS Thread!

I left the dog on the spikes the second playthrough, but I sat and thought about it for about two minutes. The dog kept twitching and whimpering. I wonder if you can wait long enough and it will just die on its own?

Good article about the best (worst?) moments on All That Remains. And yeah, the stitching part was the worse (also, i'd to low the volume of my tv, the sounds Clem made ;__;)

So... every decisions in this game was hard to make, hahaha. What a stellar beginning to season 2. I bet they're going to make that pregnant lady somehow end up doing something nice to you or whatever so you have a huge dilemma on whether to hate her or not in the end :P

Who's Lilly?

And I can't remember what happened to Kenny, I don't remember killing him off. Didn't he just go off on his own or something?

Lilly's the one who killed Carley. And in my playthrough Kenny was left with Ben after he fall from the balcony. We know Kenny killed Ben to spare him from pain and we just heard a couple of shots and assume he dies too.

About Kenny,
he tried to help Ben when he got impaled by a steel rod, but his death was never showed on screen, like literally everyone else's death was shown. Could have got away.

Haha, I love that the automatic assumption is that everyone chose Carley over Doug, because really, who wouldn't?

They're going to make us choose between cool-guy Luke and bitchy pregnant woman aren't they?

Who I would you save?

I would choose Luke because I'm a selfish dirtbag. If the choice is offered at all it'll probably be after everyone finds out that it's not Alvin's baby though, meaning at least Alvin wouldn't give a crap about her death.

I'm kinda done with Lilly, bringing her back will just annoy me. I preferred it when she
<Comic Spoiler>
was the same Lilly who shot Lori, Judith and eventually the Governor before Kirkman retconned it.
</Comic Spoiler>

To have her come back, even as an antagonist, will seriously do my head in.

Now having
Kenny come back and having him join what is being hinted as a bad group, will be far more interesting, because taking a him and turning him into an antagonist will be brilliant.

I would totally be ok with it being Kenny if he went into the dark building in season 1, or someone else if he died in the alley.

Because if he survived the alley, they might as well show someone falling into a volcano and then have them return the next season.

That would be nuts, the fact of choosing Ben's fate would effect Kenny's.

Wait...

What if your choices from the previous game changed whoever the person is that comes back?

Like it will either be Lilly or Kenny depending on your choices, as they're the only characters with offscreen "deaths."

That would be pretty crazy.

In the comics
Tyreese survived being locked in a prison gym filled with zombies and slaughered them all. Kenny managing to push past them all and run away wouldn't be the first impossible scenario that universe has made.

Amazing Episode.. the moment the title screen appeared.. I knew.. dang.. I'm fully into this again, so good!

But why Doge, why did you do this to me.. oh well...

Tyreese
is the baddest-ass motherfucker to ever BAMF.
And he had his magic hammer.

well, that was depressing. :(

somebody at telltale was probably bullied by a girl named clementine and 15+ years later he made this game.

Hm.

Haven't read the thread at all yet, but my initial thoughts are how a lot of this felt contrived at this point. The intro with Omid and Christa was really silly, it seemed like Christa went into the bathroom and Clementine...went into another one because reasons. Omid somehow let a random person in, the door closing being so loud it makes the person flip around and shoot him and then Christa being just in time afterwards to kill the person. What?

Then the dog. Maybe it's just the general theme of the game wearing on me, but it was so incredibly obvious that it would turn into a feels moment so cue the dog attacking you, getting pushed into whatever it was that stabbed it a few times so it yelped and bled out, so you could kill it.

But what irked me the most was the shed. When I got back in I wanted to re-cover the hole, it was a blatant entry for a zombie. Clem always seemed precautious with how Lee trained her. Can't do anything, cue dropping the rag and having to pick it off the floor and being attacked. Nothing really comes out of this moment, but it was blatantly forced.

Also going to guess her "I thought you were dead" is Kenny, because he had no onscreen death. In stuff like this, that means you're alive.

That said, still like always had an enjoyable time with it otherwise. Interested to see where this one takes Clementine and how the people from 400 days tie in. I was really surprised they didn't pop up at all.

Christa and Omid wanted some privacy so they went into a separate bathroom. Omid wasn't there guarding the door. He eventually went to check on Clementine and heard a voice so he snuck in and got killed when the girl was startled by the door. Christa came running when she heard the gunshot. Why are you "What"-ing?

This. I thought it was pretty clear what happened. Omid and Christa even shared a "look" before going in.

I was thinking about this, when people showed the chapter card for episode 4, the one they showed looked like it was Kenny, but when I went to have a look in my game, the character looked different, he didn't have a hat on for example, so I'm wondering if it might be Ben?

edit: Found this on the Walking Dead wiki about episode 4.

This is the first episode with three variant title screens. The banner will look different depending on some of your decisions made in previous episodes.

Just finished the first episode, and...

Fuck that stitching scene. I'm squeamish as hell and that scene was just awful for me.

I love how much this episode teases you.

Oh boy, I get to tag along with Christa and Omid!

Dead.

Oh boy, I get to have a dog buddy!

Dead.

This episode was honestly a lot less predictable than I expected.

Also I saved Nick, since it seemed more logical considering Pete was bitten. Dude was already gone.

Yep', that's exactly what I would have written (though a couple of things are forced - like not being able to cover the hole in the shed so that a walker gets in).

It was great. And, surprisingly enough, it ran well, unlike Wolf or the first season. Didn't notice any slowdown or any particularly long loading.

Oh, I did actually miss Omid wanting to go in the bathroom with Christa, so I figured he was out there as a lookout.

Reading back, is it true that Lily was separated from the comic version?

There's this in the trivia section for Lilly http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Lilly_%28Video_Game%29
Upon the release of the Road to Woodbury novel, which features a different back-story for Lilly than the video game, the developer Telltale Games removed from the official website all references to Lilly being the same character from the comic series. Also, the in-game achievement that displays when Lilly leaves the group was changed from "Woodbury bound" to "What now?"

Yeah, there's a book about the comic's Lilly and it conflicts with the game.

This is REALLY interesting. I noticed the difference but I didn't think much of it. I'd like to see the three different images.

It can't be Ben, though. He's dead no matter what.

Here's the one with Kenny in it to the left of Clementine. In the one that I got that I can't find online unfortunately, the guy to the left has very different hair.

Edit: Omg, he has the same hair as
Vince!

I just checked my own files. In one of them, Kenny died in the alley, and in the other, Kenny died in the building. They both have the same preview image, but it's not that one. Neither of them have anyone who looks like Kenny. (Instead, there's someone with messy hair. No mullet.) Also, Clementine is bigger and at a slightly different angle with different markings on her face. And my preview image shows that stoner guy from 400 days, who is missing from the wiki's image. I don't know what affects in, in that case. I made completely different choices in my two save files.

It's the same silhouette in mine, but Clementine looks different.

Also, Vince joined TAvia in one of my files but didn't in the other, for what that's worth. :P

Maybe it has to do with the first save you import? In my save, Ben survived chapter 4, everyone helped Lee look for Clem and Vince stayed at the camp with Shel and Becca

What if it's Glenn who Clem saw? I mean, maybe we're taking the "I thought you were dead" too literal, there's nothing wrong in thinking that a guy, who left on his own when the outbreak just started with the cities full of walkers, is dead.

For the record I personally think it's Kenny, but that is too obvious (even Lilly is a safe choice), it'd be great if it was someone out of left field like Glenn.

How did you handle things like Ben, or the cannibals, or Lily, and did you kill or leave Lee?

Edit: Here's my full preview

Sorry for crappy quality.

Ben died in epsiode 5 in the alley with Kenny. The first cannibal got pitchforked and I spared the second one. Dumped Lilly on the road. Killed Lee. Vince and Russel stayed behind, everyone else went with Tavia.

Did the opposite of those things in my second play through.

Interesting. For me Ben died in the alley with Kenny, I didn't kill either brother and I took Lily with us. I also tried to help Lily's dad in the meat locker, I didn't steal from the station wagon, I gave the infected girl the gun in episode 1, I killed the girl who was being attacked at the start of episode 2, Clem killed the stranger, I was always honest with everyone, including Clem, and I had Clem kill Lee.

Can't be since Glenn is a comic book character.
