The Walking Dead Season 2 SPOILERS Thread!

Finally got to playing it last night. Fun episode, Sarah completely took me off the rails, and from there I couldn't take the episode seriously. Not because it was bad, but for whatever reason the playthrough was full of tangential thoughts.

-Prismo's in it! His voice is so distinct it was impossible not to connect the two. Hearing him curse was pretty funny.

-When you're controlling Clementine in the prison and click on the ladder or rope winch, she gives an excellent "screw this" look. I'm not one for image responses, but I wish I'd screencapped it. "I asked Lee what he wanted for dinner." [Image] "Braaaaaainnns."

Sarah's incompetence made me think of some sort of spinoff. Get her, Ben, Doug, and Alvin together and watch them bumble to victory! I swear I thought more about their fanfic adventures than what was going onscreen.

I'd also completely forgotten that Jolene had died in season 1. I only remember meeting her and the message she left in the camera. Part of me had been hoping this whole time that she'd been running across the countryside screaming "I''m goin' get you, Cleeementiiiiiine!"

I usually enjoy these episodes and take them seriously, and I look forward to the next one, but something was just off. It was a strange experience. Didn't help that playing Alpha Protocol before it made me wish Clem could just headslam everyone. Sure would make a few things easier for her.

Carver and I butted heads right from the start, took every opportunity to snipe at him that I could (fucker decked me for staring him down). By the end I had to see him die, to seem him beaten, was disturbingly gratifying.

Walter was too good for this series, lol. Loved what they did with his character, principled to the end.

Some of you guys are really brutal in how you would handle someone like Sarah. I tried to be as gentle and kind to her as I could because getting angry with her would probably only make someone like her react worse and I just can't see Clem treating another child so harshly after everything Clem's been through. I do think Carlos slapped her harder than necessary because he'd reached his breaking point with her. He didn't even tell her to take off her glasses first.

The 400 days cast was a disappointment. Tavia seemed so sweet in that episode and here she's this cruel woman? It's possible but it just didn't jive with me.

I didn't stay and watch Kenny exact revenge on Carver. I figured Clem had seen and done enough violent things in her young life.

I'm not feeling this season as much as last so I'm not going to replay each episode.
2 questions:

How do they handle the Alvin stuff if he gets shot at the end of ep 2? Is he not in Bill's office at all?
Does Carlos get shot regardless of what you say at the end of ep 3? I couldn't even process my choices it happened so quickly.

Good episode. Really looking forward to season 3. I'm not too keen on playing as adolescent Clem, but play as Clem in her late teens or early 20's in season 3 could be awesome.

If Alvin is dead, Rebbecca makes more statements of wanting to kill Carver. So in that scene with you catching him, she already wants him dead.

Yes, which would make sense. I assumed you couldn't even make any of those choices, kinda like that scene in S1 Ep.2 with Katjaa.

Right, but I mean in terms of the scene with Alvin in Bill's office where Alvin finds a gun in Bill's desk and shoots that guy. How is that handled if he dies in ep 2 was my question.

Clem barricades the door so that guy can't get in, and you can take the gun if you find it, then Clem can shoot Carver instead of divekick him in the next scene.

Just caught up on this, holy crap at that last choice insane.
I cut it :(
Also I have a bad feeling Kenny isn't going to make it to episode 5, I really hope he does though he is my favorite living character other than Clem.
Anyway I take it TTG haven't talked about a new season of this? Although I guess it being on XB1 and PS4 is a good sign.

Does the rest of the 400 days cast appear in episode 3 if you got them to go with Tavia? I have to go back to see who went but only Tavia and Bonnie were there for me. Err wait, I think I had the hippie guy too but he had like, 1 line. I remember someone calling me "dude," I'm pretty sure it was him.

Yeah that's all they do, it's a total waste.

Yeah they all show up
If Shel and Becca went with Tavia they show up at the beginning talking about how Sarah is useless.
Vince will show up when you get the walkie talkies and tell Tavia that she is not allowed to smoke in that area.
Russell will tell Clem to get on with what she has to.
Wyatt will tell Clem to get a move on when she is going to see Carver.

Easily one of the best episodes in the entire Walking Dead series. The whole episode felt really dark and heavy. I didn't see a way out of the predicament they were in to be honest. The scene with Kenny wrecking Carvers face completely redeemed him as a character to me. Can't wait for the next ep.

Agreed.. I cried for real when you are given the choice to ask "Can I see him", to see Kenny after he was being treated.

And then he is alright, like a boss!
Also Sarita "AHHHHHH" hahaha, so good.

Is it a waste? 400 days was always meant to be just a little teaser for season 2.

If it were goon to be anything significant would you think they'd just make it part of season 2? It was an optional teaser.

You read that completely wrong.

The characters in this episode in season two were a total waste. They did nothing. They served no purpose other than the two that 100% would be there no matter what.

Now if they actually exist in the next episode as another group of survivors of the shit that happened in this episode, that could be interesting.

But that's the thing. We've (everyone who's played the games) have already gone through all of Season 1, Made 'those' choices in 400 Days and now gotten this far in Season 2. We (I) know what kind of a liability Sarah is because of the experience that Ben gave us. Want to go through that again on a more extreme level?

At some point the game I can already see that there's going to be a situation where Sarah is trouble (cornered by Zombies) and the group are also in trouble with you (Clem') having to make a choice. I don't want Sarah to die but she has nothing at all going for her. The game has been leading up to this with the choices you make which results in "Sarah will remember that".

Ben and Sarah are different, though. Assuming that Sarah does indeed have some kind of disorder (that's also what I get from the character), it is literally about empathy for someone who you will know is a liability. There was no such certainty with Ben -you could wonder if he could learn and redeem himself. It was more 'giving one more chance' to Ben. At least I kept hoping he'd finally stop fucking up. For Sarah, I doubt she can - but I still help her.

Episode 3 was crazy and fucking intense. Season 3 or 4 will have Clementine leading a group of people, 100%. Carver basically eluded to it during the last conversation. Clementine was bad ass in this. No bullshit get down to business. Loved it.

Totally enjoyed watching Carver getting his face caved in.

Fuck Sarah wish she died, she's mad lame.

Cut Sarita's arm off without hesitation lol fucking awesome way to end the episode.

10/10

I hope this does happen, or if a Season 3 does come into fruition, I hope THAT group will be the focus.

I am freaking loving this Season so far I really love what they are doing for Clementine. I had her stay and watch Carver die and I have to agree with Carver Clem has already seen more fucked up shit than that group and while I appreciated Luke's attempt to 'shield' me from the horrors at this point it's pointless. I'm Clem to be a bit more ruthless/hardened while still keeping that sense of compassion at the heart of it all while still not letting it override her sense of self-preservation. It's why I'm relatively nice to Sarah unless it's under stressful situations.

I pretty much just "YES SIR" through Carver's whole "survival of the fittest" crap I figured antagonizing a psycho path on my first day was probably not the best way to go.

If this episode taught me one thing is that Kenny hasn't changed one bit I was hoping after almost a year later he would have changed somewhat but NOPE still a hot headed asshole intent on doing things his way without thinking things through first and without Lee there to hand hold him. He's got future liability written all over him and I have a feeling Clem and Luke are going to be butting heads in the future.

What a great episode. Damn, Telltale has to stop making me stay in shock at the end of these episodes.

Sarah had it coming, what a fucking idiot.
Rebecca....wow
Jane is basically laying the foundation for season 3

Yeah, I'm a little annoyed that conversation didn't reflect that I helped him. Give me a little credit for fuck's sake. Great episode otherwise.

Same. I didn't steal from him. Was annoyed that he said I did and that there wasn't an option to say I didn't.

Kenny's gonna be my bro till the bitter end. Hopefully him treating the baby like his own kid won't be harmful in some way, but it's Telltale so it probably will. Pretty much confirmed now that I'm going to have to choose between Luke and Kenny, so I guess Luke's gonna be a dick from now on.

Also fuck him for leaving his post just to go get his dick wet.

Damn Clem is like the strongest 12 year old ever. Chopping peoples arms off and kicking in doors. Probably the best episode as Sarah and Rebecca are gone, just been Bonnie to go next.

Looks like Clem will be by herself at the end of this season. So happy to see Sarah gone, couldn't put with her shit anymore. I still don't care about any character this season except for Kenny but that's because of season 1, It's like without Clem everyone would be dead by now.

So is there anyway to save Sarah or is she doomed no matter what? I saved her the first time in the home but didn't bother trying the second time near the end.

I did not have a great intro into episode 4, what with cutting off the woman's hand yielding no difference except Kenny being irrationally angry at Clem for two lines before forgetting about it.

The Sarah stuff also frustrated me. I went to all the trouble to save her, be her friend the whole way, and then... she dies. No resolution, nothing. And Nick just dies as well.

I liked Jane and Clem's relationship, which is good because it was most of the episode, but on a larger level, I think too many of the choices are meaningless this season.

Pretty boring episode. There's nothing the group is working towards, no goal. A new group is being introduced in the last episode so there wont be a lot of growing time for them either. Choices dont mean jack and I don't really care for any of the characters. At least wolf among us was pretty good.

Glad I got to call Kenny an asshole. Entire group is full of assholes and dumbasses minus Mike. And as I said in the other thread I'm sure he's dead.

Fuck Sarah, Throughout this whole season she has been the WORST Maybe even worse than Duck. Shes Duck 2.0.

I gotta admit this, i think this game would have been better if Lee didn't die. Clem is getting boring as the main protagonist, The supporting characters S2 are pretty horrible in writing and actions. The only ones I truly think are decent is Luke & Mike

Just to clarify, did the choices in Wolf Among Us mean jack? What was the goal that Bigby was working on?

Honestly I feel like this season has been a huge disappointment, the characters are pretty weak and I honestly can't remember most of them and I don't really care about the ones that are dying.

Doesn't help that the illusion of choice just feels more obvious this time around, or maybe I've just played more of their games and known their tricks. And it feels like they've really decreased the amount of time spent "playing" the game.

He's an idiot. Woman in labor, zombies everywhere, don't care had sex.

Basically this. Can't say I gave any fucks about any of the characters dying. Can't even remember half of them.

I feel this is a weak season. I don't care about anyone but Clem and Kenny. Couldn't give any less of a fuck about anyone else (excepf Jane, she was cool, but she left :( )

Jane's just Molly 2.0.

Shows up randomly, hyper-competent, doesn't want to get attached to anyone, leaves randomly.

At least she didn't feel as manufactured and Mary Sue-ish as Molly did.
Molly seemed like they set out to design a character that was "awesome."

Jane was way better than Molly was though. I looked up to her like a big sister and then she just LEAVES me. Ugh.

A lot of people are comparing characters from this season to the last season.

Welcome to The Walking Dead, there's only so many tropes you can fit a character into a zombie apocalypse. Since Carver was pretty much comic The Governor then the next antagonist is S3 is gonna be CURAYZEE and unpredictable like Negen.
