I don't want to read any reviews, but what are people saying about the sound? I'm a bit worried.
He acknowledged that it was Midi but sayed it was high quality. He also acknowledged why they do Midi, so they can use dynamic sounds. I like the dynamic music.

I just wish some of the synths had a deeper tone to them...

Yep.

Expect quite a lot of IGN reviews to come out tomorrow as well (eg: Marvel)

I expect a Red Steel surprise. Seriously..Its not as major as SMB:BB and they haven't reviewed it yet..Its either Ubisoft is disallowing it or we are in for a surprise.

Well, Bozon said COD3 is the best launch FPS on Wii...so I'm not too sure about that unfortunately.

Matt's reviewing Red Steel, which -I think- he enjoyed. I know he liked it a lot more than Bozon.

True, though during a recent video he was still complaining a bit about the turning controls.

It's certainly going to have the most controversial reviews of all Wii launch games. It's had a lot of effort put into it and is a key exclusive for Wii that is designed to show just how good the controller can be. From what I've seen so far, different people have very different thoughts on the game. There's no real balance between people's impressions.

I wonder who's reviewing Rayman. Matt's tastes are more in line with mine (#1 most wanted behind Zelda), so I'd like to see his opinions on it.

Ye especially since he knew what a good SMB game is I'd like Matt reviewing more Wii games..Alot of other reviewers still seem sceptical about Wii..I don't know why..Its already been proven to work if you put work into it.

Bozon, to me at least, actually seems to dislike the system more than he likes it. He's seems to be more of a graphics, FPS type gamer, so I'm not sure if he's suited to the channel. Personally I would rather Craig Harris to run the Wii channel with Matt, as he seems to be more appreciative of the system, but then there would be no one to run the DS channel.

But Matt has also admitted to being a graphics whore. I guess it comes down to how good that reviewer is.

i've been reading some reviews of this game, and it sounds incredible. will be hard to have to wait another year before playing this game

I was going to get the gamecube version, but with the few reviews I have read claiming the game is better than Ocarina of time and that the definitive version is on the Wii, I have changed my mind. Plopping down $300 on Sunday. With the launch being so huge I doubt it will sell out on day one (Gamecube wasn't nearly as large and you could still find it on day one if you looked around). I was right in the middle of Kingdom Hearts II, but looks like that is on hold. :(

Quite possibly already answered in this enormous thread, but does anyone know if there's a Twilight Princess soundtrack CD in the offing?

If you subscribe to Nintendo Power for a year, yes. There's the soundtrack and a guide too.

I havent really seen any videos of the Wii version lately, so does the GC version look the same from those videos?

Yes, exactly the same. Except for the lack of widescreen and the obviously different UI.

Something else that is vital to Zelda is that everything fits together seamlessly. This isn't easy to explain, but what I mean is that with all of the ideas in the game tightly woven together, the various elements of the game will perfectly complement the terrain and scenery. The balance of "sparsity" and "density" in the game works really well. This is something that's important in Zelda. A real challenge with Twilight Princess was that as development moved from the earlier stages into the latter half, that balance was lost. The 3D Modelling Team was steadily expanding the size of the game, but the actual content of the game was not keeping pace. The longer the 3D modelling and the content remain out of step, the emptier the game becomes. Or, game content starts interfering with other content and spoiling it. Trying to get that under control is a real challenge. Putting it another way, perhaps it's controlling the balance of "sparsity" and "density" that actually makes a Zelda game. Maybe this isn't limited to Zelda... Maybe it's the "Nintendo method" of making games...

something that was on my mind, asnwered :)
