Technically, yeah, but I find it hard to believe there are no Nintendo moneyhats involved, especially with Cing working on it.

Dude what the hell.
Cing Inc. have only made Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk with Nintendo. They have also made The Glass Rose and various CG effects in the past. They aren't obligated to Nintendo

Really? I wasn't aware of that. I suppose it's possible that it's an unrequested third-party effort. It just seems like the sort of game that goes hand in hand with moneyhats.

i'm not sure why anyone would moneyhat Project O, its not big enough of a game to do so. No More Heroes is also going to the Wii and its not being moneyhatted

Hmm, maybe Forever Blue is really moody and atmospheric and immersive...or maybe Famitsu is dumb. I'm hoping the former.

How is he trolling?

A Tales of Symphonia sequel on more powerful hardware should at least look as good as the original game... sheesh, Scamco should be reusing assets and character models and enemy models and whatever is necessary to achieve those results if they have to.

Don't diss Project O. I will cut you.
what is project o? never heard about it until now

tits?
I dont see anything particularly titular about the Opoona charactars.
So tits and poon it is then.
I think it's because they're round. And I'm mature. So where you might think of children's toys, I think of breasts. Because I'm mature.

Needs.... collective LASIK eye surgery for all developers involved in this game.
Fixed.
I want ToS to look as good as can be on Wii, and this... agh, looking at some of those pics in the scan, the jaggies are bad enough that you could grate concrete on the hero's face. My only hope and prayer for this game is that it was shown WAY too early to capitalize on "we're the first traditional RPG on Wii" bullet point and it still has a LONG way to go.

well if they looked morel ike breasts I might be inclined to point that out. but they really dont.

Wait, why the hell are we arguing about whether a character looks like a bouncy tit or not?

I just noticed that Izlood has been beaten up pretty badly in that ToS2 scan. I kinda thought is was the graphics. Either way, it looks pretty interesting. I hope we get more info that I can read on it soon.

I'm not entirely sure. GAF is putting me in a really weird mood today. Back on topic:

WTF at Forever Blue?

where do you guys find those gifs with the words?
Ive always wondered where they come from (If its 4chan /b/ then forget it)

Nice scores on Forever Blue, been a fan since it was first shown.

:D

As for Tales of Wii... doesn't look too bad. I can definitely see that the graphics are a step up from GC, not by much though. What I really like about the game is the art direction. Very pleasing, IMO.

yeah the art style is great but it does seem to have very simple textures/models that dont even do justice to what the Wii can do.

I just think most are blinded by MGS4 today... if you look at TOS and TOS Wii side by side I think it's pretty clear that TOS Wii is at least a little more polished. Of course, it will take most video of the game running to realize it.

Min Gol 5
- with the new type of shot, you can play like you play golf in real life (lol)
- online play also has a real feel as you play while watching others
- lots of volume so lots of replayability, typical of the MinGol series
- pulls no punches, but the inclusion of net play will make things interesting

Forever Blue
- feels a little like a simulation, exploring areas gradually
- clever production sucks you in totally
- with the change of camera view, you can get lost at sea (pun?)
- you can explore the aquatic life as much as you want or you can go looking for events
- there's lots of stuff you can do, play at your own pace
- production is great, you can feel the mystery and magnificence of the ocean
- thanks to the effects of the mysterious music, the game feels very real

Prefer the title "Forever Blue" over "Endless Ocean" though...

I don't know what you're talking about.

It would be unacceptable even on the gamecube.

It seriously looks like they had N64 dev kits.

The DS game on the other hand looks as if its pushing the hardware.

So MNG doesn't deserve its score?

Project O (also known as King Story) is being developed by combined teams from Cing, Town Factory, and Marvelous Interactive. The creator of Harvest Moon (Wada, one of the developers), compared it to a God game like Sim City or Sim World, but "the gamer plays among the people and creates the world around them from ground-level, not as god." (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=161686)

I always thought it sounded pretty similar to the "God game" portions of ActRaiser (by far the funnest part of the game), and the art style looks cool (like a European short), so count me among those interested in what appears to be one of the few great third party titles in development for Wii.

By the way, Tales Wii looks like shit and a significant step below the original Symphonia game.
